  1. I have submitted various results from my session on dry ice yesterday on a 2600k i cant get any boints for wprime, CB11, CB15. meanwhile the bot accepts for CB2003 and GPUPI, hbot_x265. i have rechecked the subs and can surely not find anything wrong in the submissions.
  2. hehe. am now in Philippines which is not like Sweden except .... no OC-ers also. yeah maybe join the Team Canada as long as i can switch back in time for Icehockey world Cup hehe.
  3. Think so far all group/team stages i have been part of have been ok and generated interest in the Team even looking among members to see if they could join a stage as they had a complement in hardware. I do though think the Country cup need to be wider on newer hardware to get the right appeal.
  4. having joined Hwbot in 2014 i never even saw the "golden years" of OC thus the time before the Intel K processors. And yes the average joe now can get to 5G quite easily. Even so with help of profiles made by select users of HWbot. But then even with reaching 5G Oc and even if it was 50% more than regular clockspeed the score on Hwbot will still be 0.1 points. So if the average joe just did that across the CPU benchers he would amass the staggering amount of 2 points. Yet he has actually still overclocked the CPU quite some atleast for a beginner. it would probably have taken him some time as setting the XMP auto would probably have crashed the system more than the CPU oc if he invested in some higher speed ones. Meanwhile the system would surely not be optimized at that stage. Overall i like the point system except we should probably add a 0 more on the scores. to spend maybe 1 or 2 weeks going through all benchers on starting level and reach maybe 2 points is probably a not so good incentive to keep OC-ing for someone just testing it out. Meanwhile it seems that the competition scoring works better in that regard. I like the challenge and keep checking if the guys are catching me during a competition then i get back into it to see what did they do better. I already know the super good guys will be subbing 5 minutes before the competition closes to take all the big points and leave me with less learning in the process of what they did. As long as all who takes part in the competition get points for the yearly score thats fine. That also means that the guys why would otherwise be looking at their normal 2 point never grow atleast get some more in competition to trigger more interest. When I started OC was just looking how to optimize my new build at the time. I was over at overclocker.net and some guys were competing in the forum on unigine valley all using the GTX 780 and we just posted the screen shots of the scores and tried to get a better one. Think i did that for a week before i found HWbot. So far i think this year has been the most interesting as i like the concept of starting from 0 while also having an overall career score. I also think that concept can generate more interest (except maybe not son on 0.1 pointers) this is a long way to say no OC is surely not dead nor dying.and maybe now with AMD closing in Intel will have the incentive to open up more processors to OC. Meanwhile the two above points might help to retain some who actually joins in first time.
  5. am cross reading the thread on is OCing dead thread which is interesting and then looking at this country cup. The last few months i have spent collecting hardware 1156, 1155, 1150 that to add to my 1151 v1 1151v2, 2011-v3, 2066. Today I bought an AMD 5700XT so I atleast could have a decent score in the pro section just closing as there is so much locking between AMD and Nvidia GPU's in stages. To get hardware for me means ordering from abroad normally china. among those 1156, 1155,1150 i have now around 25 odd CPU's that i have not even started playing with yet. If i kept all hardware i had since i got introduced to computers in 1980 i could have had all the old legacy but simply dont. Meanwhile to go back in time makes it more complicated with the operating systems. Hmm i cant even find a Ps/2 keyboard around here. If I then look at the amount of Swedes taking part in any OC its probably only Rauf more or less active besides me and am not sure he will take part in a country cup. Meanwhile there could probably be some newcomers/oc-gamers that could join in if there were more opportunities in the newer hardware areas. Then I look at the below country cup list and see that I cant take part in more than half of the overall country cup stages while having 7 different platforms and anything from 2- 14 Cores. I think that is a bit of a challenge when we then discuss the level of participation. I would probably propose to have a country cup more focused on the Win 7, win 10 platforms and then have a proper legacy cup. I do very much appreciate what the team is spending in time and effort putting these competitions together and it has helped me learn a lot about my hardware as well as software in optimizations. Pifast: LGA1366 - Bloomfield core (Xeons allowed) (4 scores) Wprime 1024: AMD Deneb - (4 scores) Superpi 32M LGA775 - 7x multiplier - (4 scores) HWBOT X265 1080P AMD 1-3-4-5 cores - (4 scores) BCLCK INTEL per socket (socket 1151V2 = V3) - (4 scores) CB R15 CPU (Single core test) - (AMD only) (4 scores) Y-cruncher 1B - per socket (4 scores) 3DMark06: AGP/PCI/PCIe & Hybrid GPUs - (4 scores) 3DMark03: Intel Integrated graphics - Sandy/Ivy/Haswell/Skylake/Kabylake & Coffeelake CPUs - (4 scores) 3DMark 11 Performance - SLI or Crossfire - AMD FX Bulldozer/Vishera CPUs - (4 scores) CATZILLA 576P AMD GPUs & AM3/4 CPUs --> win7 only - (4 scores) Cloud Gate GTX 470/570/670/770/970/1070 GPUs only - (6 scores) 3DMark Skydiver - (4 scores) 3DMark Firestrike Ultra - Dual GPU cards only - (4 scores)
  6. does this mean we can use 9900K for 3d2001se or not? not sure what to consider HEDT in this scenario also seeing an AMD processor in the mix.
  7. are we allowed to use the AMD 5700XT cards in this stage or what is the latest AMD gpu allowable
  8. ahh my old trusty maximus Viii extreme can only run single channel memory.. sighhh.
  9. ? no worries.. The team putting together the competitions are creative ? Meanwhile getting a few more CPU's
  10. My team team rankings tab don't work. It shows the initial intended page when loaded but instantly then jump to My team my wall tab instead. Tested in Chrome and Brave.
  11. would be fun if we had some separation between threads and cores in some stages so we could use the true CPUs that dont use the threads also. i got a few of 4,6,8 cores to add to the mix .
  12. Thanks for another great competition. I think the benchmate is a great tool and to finally be able to use Win 10 for some submissions are great. Meanwhile some scores will still be better on win 7 as win 10 is inherently more bloated. Dry ice finished and need to focus on work :-)
  13. Hehe i hate these galax 4000 mem.. there is no way to do T1 to start with. Meanwhile one of my g.skils have gone to greener pastures in memory heaven sigh. and i cant buy fast ram in manila..... they are stuck on 3200 mhz in shops. so do what might work hehe
  14. Yes i edited manufacturer Galax in those subs immediately but it did not trigger a change to show mem freq. as you explain. It however does on other sub screens.
  15. I just ran some memory Frequency subs. When uploading the sub there is no way to actually set the memory frequency in the memory section. thus it can only be entered in the score field. It then looks weird as all my memory speeds show up as 4202 Mhz for some reason.
  16. Geek bench starts as 32 bit but I select 64 bit inside. The problem i had was anything listed as 32 bit in benchmate would not start. now they do. Thus I believe the service will capture it right. I believe my issue is gone as i cant replicate it anymore even after now 4 reboots. Meanwhile if i run Geekbench4 in 32 bit more i loose about 600 or so points on single core performance.
  17. No, i run it just like its set up ? meanwhile after 2 re-boots the behaviour is gone?! no win update in between i like this benchmate though. kudos to Matt ?
  18. The 0.8 version works to run all tests but 0.8.1 i can not start geekbench3 nor geekbench4 as it only show 32 bit versions and says its starting service which never start. Get same issue if trying to start cpuz 32 bit.. Works fine in 0.8 so can we please use 0.8 version also? or we will need a fix Im running on my standard 7940x setup with normal watercooling and updated Win 10
  19. thanks for great competition :-) cant do more with my dry ice.
  20. 3dmark has issues on their score page. it validates scores but you cant see the scores after thus cant get the link for upload.
  21. I would like a feature introduced on the My submissions tabs. Challenge When going through the Videocard scores in the My submission tab we see a nice list of scores and the the details for the videocard. However to then see which processor used and the speed of processor we have to go to the individual scores to find out what was used. This makes it very cumbersome to potentially find scores that otherwise could be upgraded based on new hardware or new skills. I keep learning and find new tweaks and keep most hardware so if nothing to do on a weekend i grab some hardware and get into it. Solutions. 1. On the My submission tabs add one tab that says Video card expanded. In that tab the list can look the same as current one however with addition of 2 columns.. CPU hardware and CPU Frequency. This would make it significantly easier to determine which benchmarks to rerun based on new CPUs/Cores that we keep adding in our toolboxes. 2 . On the My submission tabs add one tab that says Processor expanded. In that table the list can look the same as current one however with the addition of 3 columns. Memory hardware "G.SKILL Ripjaws 4 DDR4 SDRAM"" and Memory speed and if possible Memory timings. Considering that all the CPU benchers are significantly dependant on memory speed and timing it would again be much easier to find which benchers to rerun based on new gained skill or added hardware in our toolboxes.
  22. i dont see any updates on my profile page points list on 2,4,6 core participation. this even after 3 days to a week having submissions and being listed in 4th place on several
