  1. Where can we make a donation to cover your LN2 costs for this attempt?
  2. Oh, cool! Didn't know there were also versions with one hole, thanks for the clarification!
  3. Not using the Supermicro board?
  4. You mean that CPU with two holes in the side?
  5. Attended the AMD Richland event in Tokyo Japan and saw this box-art poster by AMD. That CPU looks a lot like the Intel CPUs, to be honest ...
  6. Re-hosted: http://downloads.hwbot.org/downloads/tools/BDC_R1.00B.zip Who's going to be the first to set a new record?
  7. Country Cup will be at the end of the year. I think we can squeeze in another Team Cup
  8. A good product is one that will not make you unhappy after purchase. Most memory kits are "good choices" because it simply doesn't matter what you put in your PC. At least not in terms of performance; perhaps it matters with looks. A "Must Have" is way more than that as it implies that you should take your money and go buy it right now. Must is the key word. If you give a 90% and no award, I could live with that. Although you don't have much room for rating crazy good overclocking kits like Flare or GTX2 significantly higher. But none of those memory kits I linked to are "Must Have" and the readers of those articles are tricked into believing they are. Anyway, to each publication their own. Everyone has to make decisions on how to ensure future business ...
  9. We all know there is a difference between "how we think" and "how upper management" thinks. Bringing a team mate is, just like live contest, much better for the community ... we all know that. But numbers are more important for those who make the decisions (and have the $$). Obviously the structure of this year's competition was more "number-friendly" than before. Numbers serve their purpose Heh, you working for FM now? Sure ... 1500 participating overclockers
  10. Mine's this one http://hwbot.org/xtu/analyze/2391270 Easy boot-in at 4.5G and stable
  11. Nice! Added it to the opening post. Not sure if I can copy/quote the bulletpoints as reference
  12. Thanks all! - Intel DZ87KLT-75K --- 0336 download - FPT v0.9.5.0.1428: FPT_v.9.5.0.1428.rar - FTK v0.9.6.1: FTK_v.9.6.1_win.rar - ASRock Z87M OC Formula --- 1.15: download - ASRock Z87 OC Formula --- 1.24: download
  13. Hi Alex, The list in the opening post is based on the HWBOT submissions. I just run a query on the database. If you submit the result to hwbot, I can add it to the list . Nice score, btw!
  14. Are most of the kits "must have" or "good choice"? Since when is a kit that works (ie: XMP ratings) a must-have buy? Why is it oh-so great that a kit can do exactly what it says it can do? It is impressive when a kit can do DDR3-3000, sure. But ... DDR3-1866C9? Really, we should be happy it can do the advertised spec?
  15. Not sure if I want someone to through 1L LN2 at me. If the nitrogen gets in your clothes, the clothes will freeze and might leave you with burn wounds anyway. That's why it's important to not spill LN2 on your shoes too much. The cold gets trapped and freezes your toes.
  16. Huh, that's odd. If you run into the same issue, can you mail the file to pieter@hwbot.org? What happens if you run XTU with internet enabled and submit directly to the site?
  17. I think no one has been contacted yet as we struggled through the lucky draw. MSI now has all the contact information and they want to ship out the boards and prizes before the semi-final kick-off.
  18. For whoever might be interested in this. So far, the numbers for MOA look quite good. Even though the amount of seats in the grand final reduced significantly from 32 (16x2) to 15, there were slightly more participants this year. We went from 72 to 79. The amount of score submissions almost doubled as the counter is now at 420-ish for the entire MOA campaign. I hope these numbers will provide "upper management" with enough evidence that MOA-type competitions can be organised without spending a rediculous amount of money and still create the same amount of exposure and participance. Just fyi.
  19. I would just like to add to this thread that it is not possible to go with the suggested policy because QE6S carries the exact same product string like QE6H, but is not the final version of the retail silicon. QE6S is a qualification sample but has fiVR related issues. QEH6 is the fixed QE6S and the final retail qualification sample spin. We can not distinguish a non-retail QS from a retail QS .
  20. Great suggestion, IMOG. I'll add that to our development backlog. Also very interesting to see how many people actually turn up when something has to be discussed seriously instead of just whining and suggesting impossible ideas .
