Geekbench 3 Single core memory score
wutske replied to ViNsTeR777's topic in Submission & member moderation
I did mine on a dual core, xkaider25 used a hexacore, so it looks like that's where it's coming from. Seems kind of strange though for a single core memory benchmark score that it takes that into account. -
It's also extremely difficult to ensure nobody cheats. Most stuff is open source so what stops cheaters from making an "optimized" version ro change kernel stuff to make it look like things get faster. Just check the ECC off "trick" people used to submit valid but completely garbeled runs of Firestrike. On the other hand, having a competitive community watching and testing the performance of different versions of modules and kernels would be agreat added value for the foss world. Anyway, there's already a large amount of benchmarks that you can run with Benchmate, any more would make it very time consuming and you'll end up with more fragmentation and lower overall points for all benxhmarks.

The certificate is valid in Firefox, I don't have IE on that machine anymore, but if I download the certificate and open it, it shows as valid Nothing noteworthy in the logs either Submission thread running: 0x000000000000047C New submission update status: Connecting to hwbot.org (5%) Could not connect to HWBOT for user authentication: SSL connect error Authentication failed with error: Connection error => SSL connect error Submission update error: Could not authenticate with hwbot.org! Error:Connection error => SSL connect error //edit: did a quick check with curl for windows, I can't connect to hwbot if I limit TLS to 1.0 or 1.1. Though, Windows 7 should support TLS 1.2 ...

Just checked and apparently I already had it installed . I already tried the easy fix installer, didn't work either. Curious why it doesn't work because PCMark 7, Geekbench 3 (don't think it has TLS), Geekbench 4 & 5 can submit their results without problems.
-
Just gave it another try, made sure the time on the machine was correct but I'm stilling getting an SSL connect error. Maybe it's because TLSv1.1 isn't enabled by default ? src: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/core/plan-design/security/enable-tls-1-2-client

I have the EP45-DS3R and it's "automatic" memory settings are dumb from time to time, especially with XMP. Try booting it with working sticks, go in the BIOS to the RAM settings, set the RAM speed to a fixed but safe value (set both the multiplier and reference clock), then go into the advanced memory timings and make sure to set the command rate to 1T or 2T since, for some reason, they thought that 0T would be a valid default option for some sticks. Anyhow, small side note, I can't send the results from Benchmate from Windows 7 (probably due to certificate errors), but you can just copy paste the results folder to a Windows 10 PC and then send the results from there.

Each benchmark has it's own rules and they mention OS limitations when applicable. That said, most are just fine if you run then om Windows 7. Benchmate doesn't officially support Windows 7, but it runs fine with some quirks. Make sure the get the manual installation archive since the installer version doesn't work. Inside the zip, you'll find a prerequisites folder, make sure to install those Windows Updates. In the res/certificates folder, you'll find two bat files, run those as admin to install the certificates that are used to sign the packages, without it, the app will just crash. Make sure that you're on the latest service pack and you may want to install the latest convenience update pack for Windows 7 too. Other than that, be patient, it takes Windows 7 a long time before the WMI (?) isn't overrun by other stuff after startup, so it takes a couple of minutes before you can actually launch Benchmate. Other tip: if you're using an nvidia card ... the latest Windows 7 driver doesn't necessarily work. If they're signed, you might not be able to install it since the CA expired and Windows considers the installer to be malicious. The installer will give you a stupidly vague error message though.

Have another CPU in the bench right now, I'll probably swap the E6550 back in tomorrow.

It looks like for some reason, HWBot has a problem with Core2Duo E6550's from Benchmate, it recognizes them as E6540's. E.g. https://hwbot.org/submission/5083373_sanyax_y_cruncher___pi_25m_core_2_duo_e6540_19sec_82ms https://hwbot.org/submission/5082705_sanyax_7_zip_core_2_duo_e6540_8450_mips Attached is my HWbot file for this result -> https://hwbot.org/submission/5418537_wutske_pifast_core_2_duo_e6540_28sec_360ms Feel free to delete my score result if it's not needed for investigation. pifast_10M_28.36.hwbot

I decided to give it a go and now this Win8.1 driver (https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/17608/intel-graphics-driver-for-windows-15-28.html) is now valid for use on Win10 for Sandy Bridge GPU's like the HD Graphics 3000. Eg: http://www.3dmark.com/cg/5012315 Ps: for reference, the GPU driver version is 9.17.10.4229
-
I asked UL about the driver and looks like it'll be a no-go to use Sandy Bridge on the latest 3DMark.
-
I tried and it showed up as an unsupported driver. Kind of strange that they support a driver that only exists on a platform they don't support.
-
I ran DDU to remove any leftover AMD drivers which fixed the tesselation problem. In the mean time they also recognize the GPU, however, I can't seem to find a valid GPU driver version. Officially they support Intel Graphics Driver 10.18.10.5161 for the HD Graphics 3000, but the newest version for Windows 10 I can find is 9.17.10.4229. Too bad but I'm not going to spend too much time on this oldy.

https://hwbot.org/submission/5403068_ https://hwbot.org/submission/5403139_ Can you delete these ? UL links are broken and results are invalid anyways.

BM works fine on S775, e.g. https://hwbot.org/submission/5403881_ You need to download the manual install archive and use that one. There are a couple of batch files that install the required certificates to run the app and you have to make sure to install some Windows 7 updates to support new certificates (I also installed some convenience updates for W7). Mind you, there's a bug in Windows which results in BM not starting the first few minutes, it's a bit annoying but that's what it is. Also, you can not submit from Windows 7 due to certificate issues, but you can just copy the result folder to another pc and submit them using that. It works pretty fine, as long as you don't change the FSB in Windows itself (it messes up the timers). //edit: shout out the the BM developers for actually still wanting to support this OS which is EOL, even the ESU period ended early this year.

I did some dry ice submissions about a week ago (example). Temperature read-outs from the CPU itself were stuck, so that's why they are positive on pretty much all submissions.
-
In the meantime I got a response from UL, it turns out there's some leftovers from an AMD driver with invalid settings and that I should nuke it with DDU. Not sure how that driver got there, afaik I didn't use that install with AMD drivers at all, so it might be the AMD SDK for GPUPi. I'll try it later this weekend.
-
It says host out of memory, so I guess you don't have enough RAM to run the test ? Btw, I'm using the AMD SDK on Windows 7 and that one works fine for me.

Is it possible that changing league is disabled ?
-
Thanks, I created the ticket . I don't see any option to make that result public (or private). Is that because I don't have a Futuremark account and just use my Steam account to sign in ?

I'm having a bit of trouble trying to submit my iGPU scores to 3dmark 3DMark itself says the score is valid, however, once I submit it, it's invalid: https://www.3dmark.com/3dm/102835145? Online it doesn't recognize my GPU (there's an achievement for that ? ), so I'm guessing that's the problem ? Can I still submit this result for the competition ? //edit: I've already run DDU, installed older drivers (the ones from the Intel website, not what Windows Update pushed), still no luck. 3d settings in Intel control panel are these:

Can you please add the Qualcomm SM6375 Snapdragon 695 5G ? https://valid.x86.fr/a/e3tme8 https://www.qualcomm.com/products/mobile/snapdragon/smartphones/snapdragon-6-series-mobile-platforms/snapdragon-695-5g-mobile-platform //edit: nevermind, didn't see the message that no mobile stuff is added anymore.

Considering to do extreme cooling and I like some feedback
wutske replied to wutske's topic in Extreme overclocking
Got some pretty okay results today https://hwbot.org/submission/5401433_wutske_cpu_frequency_pentium_e5200_4812.25_mhz https://hwbot.org/submission/5401166_wutske_cpu_frequency_pentium_e5300_4978.68_mhz Both of them had an FSB wall on air, DI moved that wall a lot further (about 300MHz in effective clock speeds). The 5300 did very well to be honest, considering that I only had a 20% contact with the CPU which I discovered after doing all my tests. I have a little bit left of the 5kg that I bought, maybe I can do a quick and dirty run tomorrow, not sure which CPU to pick though ? //edit: tried the Q9550 first but it didn't even manage to get to it's previous air OC at -10°c, so I tried the E2200, another nice 300MHz bump before hitting a solid wall.
