Thanks! I will probably revisit all GTX 480 with GPU on LN2. GPU is pretty good, but I thought I had issues with inefficient coldslow bios when I tried it on LN2 for Country Cup. Seems it was just a lucky run that made GPU on air beat GPU on LN2 then...

It was a nice touch to use i3 in the comp, but the recent retails are impossibly bad. Me and some others have tried to bin a decent one and they are all crap on LN2! Even the good air clockers!

I'm out. It is impossible to find even half decent retail i3 now. All I get are week 37 and all are total crap. The two best on air did less than 5500MHz on LN2!

I also had issues trying to boot with 4870X2 and GTX 295 on the M8 Extreme. Managed to boot once with 4870X2, but most of the time it would stop at A3 or A0. This was with bios 0014.

I also had lots of trouble with mem-OC om RVE. On different CPUs. Some times it would boot fine, but most of the time it would drop one or two channels. I don't remember if I tried setting RTL/IOL manually, but that might help.

I tested volts for booting windows 7 at 4.5 and 5.0 ghz. Only one chip managed 5 ghz. Second best booted 4.5 at 1.20v. Will try the second best chip on ln2 on monday. A real shame about the other chip. Could cold boot at full pot...sanded die and no crack even at full pot. But what does it help when it doesn't scale...

Seems like there alot of really bad i3's. Have binned 6 now and the best one on air did less than 5.5 on ln2 today. It was a 5 ghz air chip...

Maybe I'm just lucky but I haven't had any problems at all with my b-die. Only tried one kit so far and I binned them single stick for volts at 3600 12 1t on bios 1.93. They needed around 1.6v (dmm). In dual they had no problem running 3840 c12 1t (for xtu 6320). Didn't try minimizing volts, just set 1.8 in bios so around 1.85 dmm. They couldn't do 2000 c12 though.

Up for sale are 2x Galax 980 Ti LN2. First one is a V1 LN2 edition. Backplate says "Rauf - Team MLG". ASIC 68.9. Sold Second one is a V2: GOC, no backplate. ASIC 73,4. Both have been treated with vaseline, so it's pretty easy to rinse off if you want to. Only second card tested on LN2, was going to test the other as well but never got around to, that's why it is vaseline treated. Second card is decent on LN2. It did 1915/2150 in all Fire strikes. Price V1: 550€ shipped in europe GOC: 600€ shipped in europe Buyer pays fees. Can do paypal or bank transfer.

Seems a very strange decision since aquamark scales with at least 2 gpus. Cheap cpus and ultra expensive gpu-setup...

Not used on ln2. Not delidded, but can do if you want. Not tested for max clocks.
