Lekker bezig! Great job (other score as well) -
Sparks.nl - Core i7 5820K @ 5400MHz - 2174 marks XTU
Sparks.nl replied to Leeghoofd's topic in Result Discussions
I will, I will go most out of it on LN2 because it has a cbb at 80C. Because of the bad mount I could go lower with the valve of the Cascade. The last time -89C was the warmest it would go. -

It should be, Roger tested it at 5900/5300 hwbot prime stable. 1,55v -
Sparks.nl - Core i7 5820K @ 5998.6MHz - 5998.6 mhz CPU Frequency

Yes, it should be able to run 5900/5300 (1,55v). The Cascade can go to -100C with a good mount. How is it? -
I would prefer Slayer then...

Not even 2T?

I tested in slot 4 only. I think I will try to give a little more volts on vccio and vccsa. those settings are still set for my other set. (Which does do 1T)
-
Thank you for your quick reply. I noticed something. They do 1T on the same voltages if I use just 1 stick in stead of 2. How can this be? Is that imc?

I have got a new (jan 2016) G.Skill 3600 C16 kit. It does 3866MHz C12-12-12-28 with 1.72v (bios, Asrock overvolt) and XTU (Win 8.1) as a kit. But... It can not boot 1T for 3866MHz I have 2 questions: 1. Does it hit on performance verry much? (it seems to affect it) I did a quick test on 5GHz and got 1768 XTU where I do 1785 on these settings with the other kit) 2. Is this common with other kits? (only 2T boot) 3600MHz C12 does work with 1T.

I don't think I can make that many changes without having to load defaults again. Every 3-5 saves I have to load defaults again because it doesn't take any change from that point.

I did a short test and it seems that some versions of the microcode can not boot with (really) tight timings. It needs more volts or I need to set trfc "loose". XTU score's were different as well, altough I did only one run for each test Xtu, pi and cb 11.5). Edit: What is for sure is that it definitly has influence on the memory stability and settings. If other motherboards can't set it then this is an advatage for Asrock. Question: does this mean that I can undo the lock of the non k cpu's by choosing a different microcode?

Thanks for the replys for rtl. I will look at it in a few days (small chance today).

I looked at the devices in Windows. For Management Engine Interface it tells me that I have version 11.0.0.1172 for the version of the driver assembly. In the CPU part of the Bios it tells me the microcode version is 506E3 74. At the Microcode Update parameter I can choose 15, 2D, 49 and 74. Is this the part where I can choose which version I want to use?

I think that I had a microcode update in the new bios. Where can I see this? Edit: Sisoft Sandra reports the microcode as version: MU065E0374 Edit 2: I checked the ME version with the Intel tool. It doesnt't seem to support Z170. I don't have any idea how to read it. I am not sure which version I had before.

Question: Since my bios 2.10 update I can't seem to boot 4000MHz+ memory speed (B die) at 1T. Going back to 1.93 does not change it. Does anybody else have this issue? I had a working bios profile that does not work any more. I left the motherboard without any wires connected and battery out for 27 hours, it didn't change anything.
