  1. wanted to make 1000+ for you, but was too lazy
  2. Yo there, had some beers, so I'll try to make it short and clear. there is an uncounted numbers of benches we waste our lifes with - screens that nobody will see mostly...just like this one - finally testing some 01 after cebit but not really happy on asus with it need ud4 or evga but have to move over the summer - expect me back with sandy-e regards SoF

    Raja@ASUS :)

Raja @ASUS = WIN! Looks like ASUS aims for 99% market share in the extreme oc segment

    Oops

    haha nice work
  5. Haha that always comes into my mind when I think of "sham-boards" - tested blackops and classified, seen good results on them but never fully liked (and owned one) myself. With MIVE things seem to change - sham-boards getting easier
  6. He left EVGA quite some time before starting at ASUS iirc so not the reason. As for Foxconn: I think he didn't like working himself to death, so he better left - simple, or? Quite an interesting proof for something that was quite clear for everybody following the trends a bit. wherever sham went there was a mainboard that was pushed like nothing else: Foxconn: BlackOps EVGA: Classified ASUS: RIIIE (BE), MIVE Rule out these boards, specially for Foxconn and EVGA the trend will be gone imo. that also shows how important it is for a mfc to have a real good oc-board in the product line...
  7. Just got: L041C238 #3242 Testing under SingleStage: this cpu really sucks monkeyballs - 53x100 = freeze during windows load, max boot 52x100 ... what a crappy piece ^^
  8. Finally the magic 6 on a Sandy - great work! Look forward Japan!
  9. All the best Karl - happy birthday! [translation: You let him blow enough - tell him the candles work electrical...]
  10. Some interesting testing from here: my best chip --> ~5650 under singlestage --> hardly 5450 under air with 1.6V The difference from a chip with a hard wall --> it will not freeze during the loading bar of windows xp but during boot or short after reaching windows desktop @5.5 on air, also you have the feeling "it wants to" when booting...not that "oh man that f***** loading bar will always crash". That's where I can see "ok the chip has potential under cold" different was the 2500K of my GF some days ago 5400 boot but with near 1,6V 5500 instant freeze on the loading bar XP up to 1.66V So I decided that chip isn't good at all - maybe 545X under ss but well...we all want 5.9 chips Similar to that my 2nd chip 5400 hard to bench under air, only with high vcore 5500 can boot with 1.6V but crashes short after windows desktop 5589 under single stage then So yes, there definitly is a remarkable scaling under cold but just with certain chips and not as high as we are used to

Seeing that - does anybody knows what Tyrou is doing now? haven't seen him since cebit 3 or 4 years ago
  12. just got a 2500K and before I forget to look on the numbers here is the data of the chip, will update results later. 2500K 3101A030 #1588 €: well it wasn't the worst chip but got damn hot with 1.6V and could hardly do 5400 on air - 5500 gave instant freeze so it goes into my gf's new sys

If you are in a team like that - you don't need enemies :D I can never expect a "heads up SoF, there will be better times" - it's more like "he fails, he gets nut-kicks" (is that how massman feels all the time?! )

    CeBit 2011 ...

I remember you taking the pics - it was at the beginning of that evening...we have been looking even more funny some hours later I think Thanks for the pic upload, I'm gonna ask the AF-guys if they have some more pictures HAHA that picture is priceless - m.beier pwned by Micutzu

HAHAHA monstru my friend it was great to have some weizen with you - even I knew I would suck at your favourite bench: SuperWeizen 1m(ass) - think your rekord is sub 10s (which will be all time record) but we have no video of that Never thought you can sit on a table with guys for the first time where you think "daaaang it's like we've done that many times before" - I'm gonna tell my kids (if I ever have any) of that evening Let's repeat (and tape) that as soon as possible. You are on my invite list for 4th AOCM together with all guys that have been on the "steak-house-table" Was funny with marc after his 3rd "romanian-beer-warm-up-round"...couldn't think of anything that makes me having more fun (specially as I was doing a "slow-run" and remember every single minute of that evening ) Where do guys with no facebook can go to check your pics? lab501 page? I am still refusing fb somehow so I haven't seen any more pictures than the one posted (and as soon as I have some time I'll give some explanation in my way of humor about that picture )
  18. But I feel better oc'ing on a board that calls itself "a dedicated OC board" And if you have the right chip - it scales under cold I can't do 5.5 on my current chips under air but as soon as the single stage is on it 5589 (bad chip) or 5666 (good chip)...so give us a board Gigabyte - your biggest fanboy is waiting My proof - K8NXP-SLi...still one of the boards I dream of sometimes
  19. I thought about that but X58 isn't that interesting for me even I really like the approach of gigabyte here. As I said - P67 as the current "mainstream oc platform" or let's call it "SoF-compatible easy oc'ing SOB rockin' platform for extreme-CPU-binning nubs" would be great. I hope they do not judge only on that due to sales but also what people think and say. Another time: absolutely right way, wrong platform (for me)
  20. I think it is a very interesting board but coming out way too late - I would love to take it for a ride but buying a new X58 board these days is out of question for me. If they bring something equal with P67 (or later on maybe z68) count me in for sure. So probably I'll get a UD4 next week to shorten the RMA time for my lost boards on cebit

actually it can do pifast at ~6100 but never saw it running 1m over 6 gig so there's my problem
