Hello!

plz help to find GIGABYTE Z170-Gaming K3 firmware for non-K OC

der8auer's bios F2c didn't work with different multiplier

Basics

Unlike K-CPUs which can be overclocked using the multiplier, non-K CPUs have to be overclocked using the BCLK. Pre-Skylake CPUs such as Haswell or Devils Canyon could only be overclocked by about 3-5% using the BCLK because the BCLK was still tied to the DMI and the PCIe.

Hi guys.  I have a GA-Z170-HD3 and i5-6600.  What's the latest bios?  A lot of those overclock guide links are dead now.

Since the c-states are disabled, will my monthly power bill go up by a lot?  What about heat generation?  The cores will always be running at full speed, but during idle they will still be cool right? 90% of the time my computer is just idle or running a few torrents.

And lastly what about the intel vulnerabilities?

Thank you

Hi, I have an z170-hd3 motherboard. I am currently running on version f6, my CPU is an i7 6700 (non K) and I would like to overclock. I was wondering what bios version I would need to overclock?
