MSI Z170A Xpower Titanium : Cold Hynix

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

Sharing is caring right? :)

Z170A Xpower is very strong on mem, at least on Hynix MFR/AFR (no other kit in my hand). Efficiency is right where it should be.

First of all (as usual) :

- Find the good temp for your mem. I can run -180° on mine but the best temp is -100°, this is where I can achieve 1830MHz 10-15-15-28-278 and 1870MHz 10-16-16-278

- Find the right amount of volt. Mine do not like more than 1.85v

Then you can try the set of timings I found, it is not perfect, but seems to be a good base :

attachment.php?attachmentid=3243&stc=1&d=1441450920

attachment.php?attachmentid=3244&stc=1&d=1441450920

attachment.php?attachmentid=3245&stc=1&d=1441450920

With these settings and auto RTL/IO I get 44/45 5/5, sometimes 44/46 5/6.

I did a quick try at 5Ghz, this is what I got :

attachment.php?attachmentid=3246&stc=1&d=1441450920

Full out run (i know my CPU is very bad :D ) :

Feedback is welcome! :celebration:

Msi seems to have done a great job. Have you got tests using Samsung ics?

Yeah, Toppc validated DDR4-4600 Dual Channel on this board: http://hwbot.org/submission/2939951_toppc_memory_clock_ddr4_sdram_2302.9_mhz

Tapakah also tested some G.Skill Ripjaws V (F4-3200C16D-8GVK) recently:
