LexEPoX Posted March 15, 2011 Posted March 15, 2011 (edited) Massman, sorry for delay. My 5400MHz 2600K can't get frequency more than 4830Mhz on this Sapphire board, so, no pll override in this bios version. I'm waiting new bios about two weeks, but Sapphire don't do it Edited March 15, 2011 by LexEPoX Quote

gnidaol Posted March 16, 2011 Posted March 16, 2011 Will they keep creating new bios for the B2 models?? I'm afraid to be stuck forever with the same beta bios Quote

Linuxfan Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 Gigabyte P67A-UD3-B3 board with F2 BIOS doesn't run 2133mhz ram divider but does have PLL override and runs my 5.6g chip at the 56x multi just fine. Hope for a BIOS update to make the ram work at the higher divider again. Quote
Massman Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 That's good info. It's pretty normal that the B3 BIOS works, though ... it's not like something significantly changed with updating to a new chipset revision. Quote
Falkentyne Posted March 17, 2011 Posted March 17, 2011 He didn't test the B3 bios with the B2 board, though. The above poster has a B3 board. Quote
Massman Posted March 17, 2011 Author Posted March 17, 2011 Doh. Someone should try, though. GBT boards have two BIOSes anyways Quote

It's pretty normal that the B3 BIOS works, though ... it's not like something significantly changed with updating to a new chipset revision. Has anyone confirmed this perchance? I'm hoping 1.60 for the ASRock Extreme 6 adds the positives of 1.30, 1.33A & 1.40 together. Don't want to brick the B2 board though. Quote
