September 11, 20186 yr 840T is Zosma. http://www.cpu-world.com/CPUs/K10/AMD-Phenom II X4 840T - HD840TWFK4DGR.html Phenom II processors with Zosma core can be identified by: Part number: OEM part starts with "HD" and ends with "4DGR". An example: HD840TWFK4DGR. CPU ID: All Zosma-based processor have CPUID 100FA0. As a note, CPUs with Thuban core have the same CPUID. We can do pics of CPU's for verification if you like. September 12, 20186 yr Of the four Phenom II CPUs in the hwbot database that are chip harvested Thuban cores: x4 650T, x4 840T, x4 960T Black Edition and x4 970 Black Edition, only two are categorised as Zosma (960T and 970 BE) the other two are categorised as Thuban. Obviously this leads to ambiguity, either all the above mentioned CPUs are classed as Zosma or they are classed as Thuban but not both. Now I know our erstwhile database caretaker has recently resigned which leads to a bit of a dilemma. Edited September 13, 20186 yr by cbjaust no T on 970BE
September 12, 20186 yr Crew Indeed, PII X4 840T is a Zosma core. But Zosma is a Thuban with 2 cores disabled. I think stage mods wanted to limit hexa-cores so they should clarify unlocked Zosma in the limits. So right now W9 are technically right and maybe stage limitations should be updated and clarified. Nice loophole @cbjaust, don't worry this is a minor mistake in DB. If you find mistakes, just make a ticket in Support forum. Fixed both. So the categories are OK, now it's up to stage mods. September 12, 20186 yr Alex this was already talked about in another thread and Zozma was Ok unlocked or not.
September 12, 20186 yr Author Crew I just Pmd Scotty I just follow up on the type of CPU that is listed as it is at HWBOT, same discussion for the Haiwai/Tahiti. Here it said Thuban... will recheck later for Anitomy's update ( at work now ) Edited September 12, 20186 yr by Leeghoofd
September 12, 20186 yr Please don't ban this cpu as some people have already bought a fair amount for binning under the understanding that it is in fact zosma which it is. I would not be very happy if my 20+ cpus were a waste of funds that could've gone to something useful.

Yes, I'm quite glad that he has fixed the rest of the zosma chips as well. I would be pissed if I had bought a stack of 840t's for nothing.
September 13, 20186 yr Also question since I'm still a noob at this platform, how did you lock all cores to max single core boost multi if you care to share?
September 13, 20186 yr 1 hour ago, Mr.Scott said: Not sure about that particular board but, I disable boost. Without boost max multi is 14.5, you can set single core multi up to 16x with boost but I believe that there may also be a way to get 16x for all cores. Disabling boost hasn't worked for me.
