[FS-US] Good DDR3 PSC

For sale is some hardware I no longer need that I would prefer to sell to benchers instead of eBay randoms ;)

PPFF preferred, domestic shipping US included in price. International requires a quote, buyer pays additional shipping which with current rates will be about $25.

All hardware tested on Z97 OCF, tight subtimings, BIOS voltage values, through at least one pass of SuperPi 32M at 5GHz core. Any screens on hand are linked. If you want more proof or other settings tested, I can try to make more screens (if I have time).

Part 1 of my final wave of PSC sales. These are all single sticks as they are very handpicked.

42. G.Skill Trident F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD (1 stick). PSC. ST-SG38U816 PCB. Price: $25

Some decent value PSC.

6. Apacer Value 2GB ("XEJ-"): My best value stick. Does 1200MHz 7-11-7 tCWL8 1.68V, 1200MHz 7-11-7 tCWL6 and 6-11-7 tCWL8 1.91V, 1300MHz 8-12-8 tCWL6 1.86V, 1333MHz 8-12-8 tCWL6 1.96V. (Note: 1333 tRCD12 only seemed to work when setting tCWL6.) Price: $5 free, just pay shipping

7. ASint Value 2GB ("XEE-"): Does 1200MHz 7-11-7 tCWL8 1.75V, 1300MHz 8-12-8 tCWL6 1.92V. Price: SOLD ELSEWHERE

11. Injured F3-17600CL7D-4GBPIS. I bought this kit a couple of years ago or so, my first good kit of PSC.

  • When working they did 1333MHz 8-12-7 tCWL6 tight ~1.92V 32M, S/N 1086 did 1400MHz 8-13-8 ~2V but the IMC could not handle PSC very well, hence subtimings. I still have never found a kit as tRP-strong -- 1200MHz tRP6 32M stable, 1300MHz tRP6 1M, 1333MHz tRP6 bootable. (I found images of 1300 8-12-6 single channel 1M, 1333 8-12-6 single channel CPU-Z.)
  • Long story short, there is most likely eraser stuck in some BGAs. As I recall, one stick will not POST at all (maybe it will on a more forgiving platform -- I have had "dead" samsung work on AMD), one will barely do more than JEDEC. Maybe they can be cleaned up and restored to working order. Price: $30 $25 $20 $15 SOLD

  • Stick 2: 1200MHz 7-11-7 tCWL8 1.74V (7-10-7 passed 8M), 1200MHz 6-11-7 tCWL8 1.98V, 1300MHz 8-12-8 tCWL6 1.88V, 1333MHz 8-12-8 tCWL6 1.94V, 1375MHz 8-13-8 tCWL6 2.08V.

34. Avexir Blitz AVD3U20000902G-2G 2000 9-9-9-24 1.65V (2 sticks). Elpida BBSE. AV83URCB PCB, which is at least academically interesting, seems like a custom model by Brainpower for Avexir. Note that there is one screw missing from the heatsink. Price: SOLD ELSEWHERE

39. Kingston HyperX T1 KHX2000C9D3T1K2/4GX (2 sticks). BBSE. A really unique kit: KO-8155 PCB, ICs are the earliest I have ever seen with 0843 date, and -AE-F JEDEC bin -- very rare, nearly all BBSE is -DJ-F. Not special on air but PCB suggests cold potential. Price: SOLD ELSEWHERE. (ALTHOUGH I DID NOT KNOW THIS AT THE TIME OF SALE, THIS KIT IS ACTUALLY REFLASHED WITH A KINGSTON SPD. THE ORIGINAL P/N WAS AVANTIUM AED34G2133HC9DC.)

40. G.Skill Trident (1x F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD, 1x F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD). BBSE, handpicked sticks from the top ~10% of the 2000C9 bin sticks I tested. KO-8117 PCB. Price: $65 SOLD

41. G.Skill Trident F3-12800CL7D-4GBTDS (2 sticks). PSC. ST-SG38U816 PCB. A really weird kit. 1600 7-7-7 PSC is a rare find, and the behavior is unlike any other PSC I've had. Although not a low-voltage kit, the tRCD voltage tolerance is pretty hilarious. Price: SOLD ELSEWHERE

44. G.Skill Ripjaws F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH (2 sticks). NO LONGER FOR SALE.

46. Kingston HyperX T1 (1x KHX2333C9D3T1K2/4GX and 3x KHX2333C9D3T1FK3/3GX). Kingston's highest retail BDBG bin, 1x DR sticks and 3x SR sticks. Wasn't able to finish testing of the SR sticks, my board stopped liking SR for some reason. Price: SOLD ELSEWHERE

From how much were these G3258's binned?

Edit: And where would they come from?

Located in US. From my 52 samples these are "above average", good for 5.0 but no 5.1. (Outside my own testing I have seen many many worse chips.)

I was just wondering what cooling was used for binning those G3258.
Stock, water or advanced air?

240mm AIO, in brief tests should be almost the same as strong air.

Post updated, all listed G3258s spoken for, I might have one more I can add.

About those G3258 and possible reserve versions and buying them. Never mind that for me.
I just noticed the 2nd G3258 I bought and could not test yet (defective motherboard) seems to be doing Ok as well. So far 4.5GHz PI 32M @1.21v with my Noctua NH-U14S.

I thought Sam had bought all good ones in the Netherlands...

What PCB do the cursed Samsung use?

B83U854, 4x. They do not POST in Z97 but will POST and OC fine on 990FX if inserted into certain slots, in a certain order, posting in between each stick insertion. But they do work! Not sure that would apply at all here, but just thought I would mention it.

Did you try and clean the contacts for that pi’s? That can give issues. Even when they seem to be clean.

Yep, I clean contacts and slots regularly.
