Biggest challenge ever...

...at lest it seem to be.

Alright, let's get straight to the point: the ESO (European Southern Observatory) published a picture of the Milky Way (its center only) which weighs 24.6GB. It can only be opened with Photoshop.

There is a torrent available (I'll send it upon request to prevent massive leech) but no direct link as the ESO removed the link due to massive demand.

The challenge is to open it as fast as you can. I personally had to allocate 20GB of swap otherwise I'd get a BSOD.

You can either use 6x6GB (36GB) or 4x8GB (32GB), or any other combination it's up to you. Clock it as high as you can with the lowest timings.

Anyone interested ?

Also, yes. :D But you first need to dedicate 24.6GB on your system drive.

I'm uploading a short video showing the opening of the file.

Finally got a BSOD when rendering this video because Photoshop was still running in the background. :D
