October 29, 201014 yr Author Hypers worked perfectly here. One thing I always do with the MSI is allow the board to set the subtimings as it wishes to do. So, whenever I start testing from scratch, I do this: - clear cmos - boot into bios - F10 without setting anything - reboot into bios - disable all features I don't need (not yet adjusting in cell menu) - F10 (save and quit) - reboot into bios and start adjusting the settings No idea if that would help?
October 29, 201014 yr Tested several boards? Tested several CPUs? Yep 3boards including 2rev 1.0 and a 1.1 with bioses from 1.0(and beta versions) up to 1.4.6 And 5 different batch 980X but no ES... 2Memory Set including STT 2000c7 and 2200c8 kits Can you test with a retail chip PJ?
October 29, 201014 yr Author No retail 980X in the house here. I don't really see how that could be the issue, though.
October 29, 201014 yr No retail 980X in the house here. I don't really see how that could be the issue, though. So the STT memory is the case? Trinergy , Fuzion and GD80 does not have a similar problem. 890FXA-GD70 have a bad write performance too but not as bad as xpower.
October 29, 201014 yr Author do you have the bad write performance at any clock frequency? even below DDR3-2000? Can someone dump the STT spd here?
October 29, 201014 yr http://hwbot.org/community/submission/1049621_ Above test done with that STT modules on BBFuzion The same setting scores 1300 with XPower due to extremely bad Write performance. edit : Memory freqs like 1600 gives write score of 8K. write performances improves with higher freqs and better timings but still poor. October 29, 201014 yr Author Pieter can you try with your PSC? thanks... Bios 1.4b6 isn't the easiest one it seems. Took me quite some time to get it running ... Result is quite okay without copy-waza and for 3x1GB
November 11, 201014 yr Author Dumping an SPD can be done using the Taiphoon Burner app: http://www.softnology.biz/
November 11, 201014 yr sure mass, ive been using BDBG 6-9-6 1700 seems to be max 2050 does 8-10-8 on air cooling. Interesting thing is I saved the profile with my BDBG then booted with my hypers and loaded proile and they booted 7-7-6-19-60 2000mhz which wouldnt work before (not 32m stable but 1850 wouldnt boot before) Something def fishy. Will post up tonight.
November 11, 201014 yr Author Yes. I'll post a dump of the GTX2 SPDs here in a couple of minutes (perhaps 1h).
