MSI Big Bang Xpower discussion thread: Overclocking results and discussion

Hypers worked perfectly here.

One thing I always do with the MSI is allow the board to set the subtimings as it wishes to do. So, whenever I start testing from scratch, I do this:

- clear cmos

- boot into bios

- F10 without setting anything

- reboot into bios

- disable all features I don't need (not yet adjusting in cell menu)

- F10 (save and quit)

- reboot into bios and start adjusting the settings

No idea if that would help?

Above test done with that STT modules on BBFuzion

The same setting scores 1300 with XPower due to extremely bad Write performance.

edit :

Memory freqs like 1600 gives write score of 8K. write performances improves with higher freqs and better timings but still poor.

sure mass, ive been using BDBG 6-9-6 1700 seems to be max 2050 does 8-10-8 on air cooling. Interesting thing is I saved the profile with my BDBG then booted with my hypers and loaded proile and they booted 7-7-6-19-60 2000mhz which wouldnt work before (not 32m stable but 1850 wouldnt boot before) Something def fishy. Will post up tonight.
