I think that if you up cpu to 4800 during gpu runs and combined it is fine, just to keep physics below 12000... But not over 4800 that is for sure, 'cause that is limit...

Yeah thats what i meant

You can go blasing at 4.8 for gpu then downclock for physics.

Are you guys using the LN2 mode in 7970 and 680 Lightning GPUs? My score is very low in both test. Physics don't go above 12000 even with CPU at 5GHz, it's around 119xx in my case.

Ok...CPU is running at 4.8GHz with HT enable, so, I think that my problem is RAM since it's running at 2133MHz with 10-11-10-1T. What about GPU?

Oh yeah, one more thing - GeForce GTX Titan is not allowed at any stage of the competition!

Also, in case two or more users will gain same number of total points then the user with best result in Stage 1 (3DMark2001SE) will be the declared the winner.

We have three people on the top of the ladder with 11 points, interesting! :)

4 way tie :D

Hehe, remember, best 01 gets the title even if four are tied. Theoretically the last one will get nothing, even though he has 11 points :>

hey fellas this is my first post on these forums. I have a question about the 3d mark 2001 se setting. I see that in most of the screen shots people are showing 1 of 7 under game test. How can I do that? what setting and where do i need to change that?

Also is an i7-920 @ 4.7 Ghz and GTX 480 @ 930 mhz core with a score of 70,061 normal?

That is because they run each Game Test one at a time instead.

Click on button 'Change' and select only one Game Test and run it. When it's done, go back and select another etc.

Score is low. First of all Bloomfield is bad for 3DMark2001. Second of all, GTX480 and other Fermi cards run under WindowsXP need a special setting activated in NvidiaInspector.

Thank you very much for the very fast response!!!

I am running windows 8. Do i still need to do that special setting. If you do have a link or the setting name?

Thank you

It's only required for Windows XP.

@saint19: Yes.

Do you know any other setting that I can make to improve my score? Or does bloomfield just suck for 3dmark 2001?

You can maybe improve score a little bit, but will be much much behind competitive ones that get points, that combination of hardware is not good for 1st stage...

Genieben give me the setting to change in nVidia inspector...but not enough time to test that.

Hope to see another competition like this.

Seems like 4890 was winner for stage 1 and 3 :)...Too bad I did not have ln2 to try 8800gtx for stage 1...Seems that Leeghoofd did homework best :P
