Massman Posted September 5, 2013 Posted September 5, 2013 Oh look at who ruined XTU for desktop users . All jokes aside, 2128 points is not impossible for a very good IVB-E I think. Looks like a great challenge! Quote

Movieman Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 Damn - we need Ivy Bridge-E Skulltrail! You may not but I do.. So far not seeing the abilty to take the BCLK up as much as the SB xeons would go.. Quote
Massman Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I'd love to see Intel push the top high-end desktop more - bring on the Skulltrail! Quote
Movieman Posted September 6, 2013 Posted September 6, 2013 I'd love to see Intel push the top high-end desktop more - bring on the Skulltrail! BUT Skulltrail was xeons..QX9775's..The desktop chips were the QX9770's We will never see that again unfortunately Intel won't let it happen. Today it's all about controlling the market to them at every pricepoint Quote
Crew Strunkenbold Posted September 7, 2013 Crew Posted September 7, 2013 Intel probably resolved this issue finally... 4.2.0.8 [Hotfix] – 09/04/2013 1. Changes 1. Update to benchmark to handle reference clock changes and maintain even scoring. This change should allow the benchmark thesystem correctly on all Windows operating system versions. Probably should be mandatory now in order to resolve this downclocking bclk trick Quote
GENiEBEN Posted September 7, 2013 Posted September 7, 2013 Then 4 way incoming boss At the rate Intel pushes desktop pieces, a 4 way Xeon IBE record in XTU will hold for next 2 years. Quote
slamms Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 4.2.0.8 is not working on my system, installed, but when i press Run benchmark button, i see below error message, that system was failed. But i am in default. 4960X + R4E. Any idea? Quote
Massman Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I had that problem before - Windows 7? Try having Windows run some updates. Quote
slamms Posted September 8, 2013 Posted September 8, 2013 I had that problem before - Windows 7? Try having Windows run some updates. Yes, Win 7, without SP1, i think here is problem. Will update soon. Quote
Bobnova Posted September 10, 2013 Posted September 10, 2013 Intel probably resolved this issue finally... Probably should be mandatory now in order to resolve this downclocking bclk trick Shouldn't all prior scores be chucked, or at least checked with prejudice? Given that there's no SS to check windows version, it seems like a major problem to me. Quote
