  1. I'm still confused. One BIOS can't be flashed back. I get that. The other BIOS would have the NON-K OC BIOS installed. You can't just flip the switch to choose the BIOS that works and go from there? Sorry - I think I'm missing something here - educate me.
  2. Woot! 8200 and daily driver stable - thanks SF!
  3. Thanks, SF - I will give those settings a try and post back - thanks for replying!
  4. Thank you very much - I get it and realize I've been pushing for global points past my maximum 20! Doh! I didn't realize there was a limit so I've always been going to the benchmark page and just doing the ones which have global points... time to start tackling some of the other stuff ? Thanks for enlightening me!
  5. The global points. What was so different that one had a bunch of global points and the other had 0?
  6. I'm not complaining at all - just want to be clear - because I realized I don't actually understand how points work when I thought I did. When I go here I have an entry that places me third for 8x Ryzen 7 3800X GPUPI for CPU - 1B ranking. That gets me this: When I click on the the link for the entry that has 5th spot for 8x Ryzen 7 3800X GPUPI for CPU - 1B ranking I see this: How does that work? Help me to understand? Thanks in advance! Marco
  7. Guys, isn't this why we have dual bioses? Flash the latest one to one bios and keep the old bios on the 2nd one. What's the problem?
  8. This is amazing results for just chilled water. You were using EVC to get additional volts?
  9. Hi SF, My replacement Z790 Apex came in last week - had to wait an entire 1.5 months from payment to delivery but I finally got around to installing it into my daily driver a few days ago and wow - this board is memory overclock easy mode! That being said, I tried to replicate your settings above and had no problem posting and getting into OS but stability tests failed. I'm certain it is related to third and maybe secondary timings and was wondering if you had a screenshot you could share of your memtweak app? As always, thanks for your contributions to the community!
  10. Please delete the following score - I accidentally filed it under Geekbench 5 when it should have been Geekbench 3. Apologies. https://hwbot.org/submission/5138993_ Marco
  11. Sorry bscool - I forgot to update this for you because my Z790 was dead on arrival from Newegg. I believe they sold me a used board because it had no manual in it and was missing the protective wrapping :-( I've RMA'd it but you know how that goes - no stock right now so have to wait ?
  12. I have Z690 with 13900k and just got my Z790 yesterday. You want the SP score that is listed for both the Efficiency cores and the performance cores in the AI menu, right?
  13. Hi S.F., Could you post your voltage settings for this if you have a second? Would really appreciate it!
  14. Speed.Fastest, Wouldn't 6600 1T perform better than 7000+ 2T? I guess this is purely a latency vs bandwidth question... Does command rate have any influence on memory bandwidth? I don't know the answer but I suspect it is no....
  15. Thanks to speed.fastest I was able to do Command Rate 1 at 6400 mhz - unbelievable! In fact, I was able to replicate his screenshot almost verbatim. What a board! Thanks, man! ? See below:
  16. I see duplicates: https://hwbot.org/submission/5008647_marco.is.not.80_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_core_i9_12900k_(8p)_1min_14sec_966ms/ https://hwbot.org/submission/5008645_marco.is.not.80_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_core_i9_12900k_(8p)_1min_14sec_966ms/
  17. My current score: https://hwbot.org/submission/5008039_marco.is.not.80_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_core_i9_12900k_(8p)_1min_16sec_467ms/ Uploaded better results here: https://hwbot.org/submission/5008654_marco.is.not.80_gpupi_for_cpu___1b_core_i9_12900k_(8p)_1min_14sec_966ms/ Actually, I see THREE entries for it - have no idea what is going on but can someone take a look when they have a moment?
  18. This is really impressive and is 100 mhz faster than my daily with almost the same settings. By comparing our timings and settings what is really clear to me is how much TWRRD_sg and TWRRD_dg play in how far you can push. By increasing the values you are able to lower several other timings and increase your overall frequency. I was trying to figure out what was limiting me and you've provided the answer! See my screenshot below:
  19. Well, it asks for admin access when you double click the installer so that wouldn't be my issue but check this out - I chose to install only for myself and it worked. I uninstalled and then tried to install again but chose "everyone" and it failed with the error that I posted above. So there is something buggy going on but at least I got it installed now so hopefully this helps someone else who might have chosen the non-default "for everyone" option. So awesome seeing Benchmate getting supported with continued development. Love it!
  20. Anyone else experiencing an installer error when using the latest from benchmate.org? I choose "For Everyone" --> "Complete" and then it gives me this: Any ideas? Marco
