  1. I agree with the most of posts here. What I would like to add...I think many hardware enthusiasts see extreme OC as something what they can't afford. I see it on Czech HW magazines. When we write news about new OC record eg. in 3DMark Vantage (4-way CFX/SLI and hand picked 3970X/3960X/3930K) many ppl says that it's nice but not for ordinary people. Why not to promote more results with old or low/mid-end hardware? That's what can bring more people into OC scene. Eg. NickShih's result with Trinity (also hand picked I guess, but it's much cheaper than Sandy Bridge-E platform) attracted much more ppl than global 3DMarks records. I can say that I like benching older or cheaper hardware more than benching high-end. Don't know why but it's more fun and it's more interesting for ordinary enthusiasts than 4-way setup. But also I understand that vendors would like to have many global records instead of many "Trinity records" or "GTX 660 records". So why don't promote both? Vendors will be happy, overclockers will be happy that they did something good for OC community and enthusiasts will see that extreme overclocking isn't only about very expensive hardware, hand picking from "hundreds" of CPUs and GPUs and perhaps they will decide that it's worth it to try it.

  3. Next Beta BIOS and more errors than with previous one?:confused:Still waiting for good BIOS for LN2 and PSC:(F3OC is still best BIOS for LN2 OC but not for mem clocking...
  4. I thought it's only typo:DMicron looks a little better with lower frequencies and Hynix with higher frequencies...and both kits looks good with their price:)
  5. If 08 means Hynix I don't know why it has Micron?!
  6. WOW!!:eek:very nice pot Roman:nana:awesome design:)
  7. If HyperX Blu has same ICs as HyperX Blu Red it has Micron D9PFJ;) But my kit was much worse with higher frequencies. 2133 MHz no way, 1866 MHz 10-11-10-27-1T, but 1600 MHz 7-9-7-22-1T what is quite nice for such a cheap kit. All with 1.65 V. So it's possible that HyperX Blu have different ICs than HyperX Blu Red.
  8. CFR PBC are much worse than CFR H9A what I saw and tried. Or am I wrong and only met very low binned CFR PBC which do max about 2550 C10:confused:?
  9. Last few days ago I was playing with my 3770K ES and several "extreme" boards under LN2:) Big nerd in action:D And finally short video Results: EVGA Z77 FTW - 6812 MHz MSI Z77 MPower - 6759 MHz Gigabyte Z77X-UP7 - 6860 MHz
  10. If it's question for me so I didn't test Predator kit only my colleague did but it was with stock speed with performance comparision. But what I know it is very similar as G.Skill RipjawsX which I tested and it did about 2544 10-12-11-28 2T 1.75 V.
  11. 2400C11 Predator kit has great price/"performance" ratio but not so good ICs:(it's same as G.Skill RipjawsX F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM
  12. ES allowed? In the rules there is nothing about ES and it's SF3D's competition so I don't know if I can use ES or not. Thanks
  13. MSI Z77 MPower + Windows Vista without problem also with several different graphics drivers
  14. I think it's overkill...and also heavy weight for modules:D memories don't need cooper pot
  15. I know that this prices are suitable for that pieces of binned chips. I only meant that they are much more expensive compared to new ones.;)Price of binned chips are good when you realize how much work it took to bin and how much money that man invested into new chips (sure he can get it directly from Intel:p), etc...
  16. Someone who sells it on XS...sometimes overclockers sell there binned chips but for very high price
  17. It looks that it still has problem with PSC...when I set 2600 or 2666 multiplier with 11-12-11 2T which was stable on UD5H or P8Z77-V Pro I have 51 on post display...the settings are the same //By the way...XMP with Dominators Platinum 2400 CL9 working also very good
  18. I didn't try PSC on UP7 earlier so I don't have result for compare...but I will try it to see how good it is
  19. I didn't have courage to try it:Dthanks for information;)
  20. Sorry for double post... XMP working fine now but found something weird while setting XMP... Really 1.4V VTT? I rather set 1.15V because I think that's very high voltage for air don't want to kill my Ivy:confused:
