Meh.....all I see is a points fluff for individuals. Team wise, nothing much changes except for the mostly inactive teams. They gain hugely. Might as well just leave it alone. I see no benefit other than pacifying a few individuals and absolutely no benefit to active teams or anything remotely promoting a team oriented atmosphere.

I mean that personal points are used in the algorithm in which team points and ranking are derived from. Meaning, if you mess with the individual points system it has a direct impact on the team points and ranking system also.

Doesn't one impact the other? Aren't personal stats included in the algorithm for the team points and ranking already?

I will reserve opinion then, because all impacts don't appear to be totally thought out yet.

You are misguided. Technological Science is concentrating on robotics. Every Uni worth anything now has a competitive robotics team. Is that a "sport"? No. Will it ever be? Probably not. How about RC racing? Those guys spend countless dollars on hardware and tweaking for their competitive meets, and there is skill involved. Is that a "sport"? No. Competitive hobby maybe.....just like overclocking.
