  1. I think I could swing $131 USD a year and sacrifice 120L ln2 a year to do so. From the current poll though it appears to me the manufactuerers will be paying for this site and not users.
  2. Here's one for you bud. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Perjury Vmem mod pads don't burn themselves brand new out of a box as well as teammates don't feel obigated to later tell the truth if it wasn't really true. Bottom line your credibilty is no good. Gomer stay out of this, it's not your beef or problem and has nothing to do with BZ.
  3. I just told you what the proof is , its a person with credibility within a team admitting what his own team does......... Lets go further with an example of this. Movieman ( someone I feel has impeccable credibility ) comes and makes a post here that team XS is hardware sharing. Would you belive him if he said that? well if you would than guess what, the source i have has that type of credibility. It's not my decision or call to throw it out there, its up to that person and it would be a total dickhead move on my part to break confidentiality.......
  4. OK its you and you snitched on your own team now deal with all the people who think your a snitch............ <<<< not true but now you get the point. Also you failed to read, Even with the proof, falsified receipts makes it impossible for hwbot to do anything about. This has already been discussed with people that can be trusted. Its also why serial number and receipts can not be used to validate anything.
  5. [quote=TheKarmakazi;71606I know the guys at OCA very well. Even though you later post that your comment was not aimed at them, it clearly was. Otherwise why would they not "want that to happen." They spend tons of hard earned dough on this hobby and dont deserve crap from some troll like you. I really admired the ethical path you took regarding samples and not competing with them, but I just lost my respect for you from this and your subsequent posts. Forget the OCA guys lets not point at anyone in particular....... Lets look at the facts however. How many Private team sections are you aware of karma? How many do you have acess to? Do you honestly think that if there was sharing going on people would broadcast it on open forums or tell an outsider? Do you honestly think that if they were doing it they would not have some bogus receipts to cover there ass and say they bought it used? Do you honestly think I would post that i'm aware of sharing going on with out having preety damn good proof? Do you honestly think the source wants to be public? Not sure without any of the acess pointed out above you are able to make claims about any team including XS playing this game clean. You can lose all the respect for me you want, no skin off my back, on the same token I thought you were a preety smart guy and could pick up on the obvious. All the above complications are just a heap of freaking work for the mods.........only to on a technicality becasue they can't prove a receipt is bogus to not do anything about it...... That said they are fixing loopsholes being exploited.
  6. Hmm Brian brings up a very interesting note. Picture this scenario, hwbot is fully supported by manufacturers. So shares in a company say its split like this MSI,ASUS,GIGA all equal 33.3% Well eventually they decide they want to change something, mind you hwbot with all new features and funding is running full tilt. Hwbot staff disagrees, Oh really? your cut off. Flatline.................... So why not have the endusers donate I dunno say we PAY to PLAY and fund 60% or even 51% whatever it needs to be so that the OVERCLOCKERS have the majority vote over the manufacturers. If a manufacturer decides to leave HWbot hanging because they want to go down a path the STAFF does not think is right, worst case at this point your at least running on life support till necessary cutbacks/changes can be made. I think bottom line the fear of the manufacturers in the end having full expense thus in a way full control is a valid fear indeed.
  7. Patch you do know that the delegation is user side, We are all EL and XOL default. You can choose UFL user side if you wish to compete there. No one is being forced there, No one is being told they can't compete there either.
  8. Quoted to add premeditation to the charges we both incur Why wait for a public event where i have to be on my best behavior. It's quite obvious when I am there for a manufacturer I can't mix it with personal problems Convenient for you I guess. Conveneint for me I can always go to your house if your afraid to come to mine.
  9. Not to sure you would want that to happen Maybe the source wishes to remain unknown
  10. The problem is it's more than one team........me personally I only have proof of one team. Sure hwbot has proof of many enough for them to want to employ such a drastic change. TBH the teams doing it must think people are naieve. The only people they are really fooling are themselves.
  11. warrior, Better yet i know some of my members have better VGA's than mine. I sell them and buy vga's they don't have........no need for percentages and more classes get covered.
  12. Sure but I don't think you realize how bad hw sharing is going on......... There is one team posting here atm totally against this ( surprise surpise ) and they have a extremely well organized sharing regime going on at a level that you could not even fathom. I have screenshots of admissions of this.........as well as other "data". I won't name the team, they know who they are. TBH I think with the proof they should all get a permaban and that should be an example then no need for rev 4. Hwbot chooses to be kind however and just remove the temptation to cheat.....at least at a team level.
  13. Here's a thought. Don't get the same freaking hardware and let members that have a good card or are good at something in particular go after a class. Hey your benching 8800GTS 640, you handle that i will tackle 8800GT 512, and this guy can tackle the 7900GT, while this other guys handles 5850.......... I see it all cheaper in long run when same team members dont have to all bench the same damn vga or a crappy VGA when another member has a better one.
  14. This. Bottom line HW sharing benefitting teams is at an end, and tbh this it where it effects teams the most. People can all deny the fact that it happens but it's real it happens. Doing it a a user level due to the HW points cap is useless except for HW master rankings.......so there is no need to attempt to block it at a user level. The HW point cap total of a user already "Blocks" this. As far as why are you still benching HW with a hwpoint cap........well there's still this category called HWmasters league.........where your points still count, oh and this little tiny other reason why people bench "becasue they freaking enjoy it for fun", if your only benching for points then you joined this hobby for wrong reasons. Take for instance one of our own member sharing a score in a high profile event which not only was dealt with swiftly by hwbot and FM but also internally in team with a reminder that any score sharing will result in an ejection from team. I know XS for one does not do this other than according to rules ( and no we don't exploit and hit grey area ) and we are preety transparrent in the fact that all teams have private non existent sections, ours just by chance is available for specific HW bot staff to see we have nothing to hide. For that matter I chat with massman on a regular basis and run anything by him that I think might be questionable such as a recent conversation where i have multiple gulftowns that have not been benched in 2d becasue i have a better chip that i use personaly for 2d......the concensus is still it would raise eyebrows so there will be no results coming from the chips from any members in 2d even though the chips suck.......... How many can say that?
  15. So your all for removing A: skill, and B: luck from overclocking by buying known good hardware possibly modded. Whats the fun in that? Not sure if you have even looked lately........XS is about 30 actual guys benching and about 300 that joined way back when the team had heavy hitters because the team was tops........some are no longer around and or never got the memo that the heavy hitters left Maybe some of you don't see this the way I do but I think it can make the competition between teams far more interesting and much closer....... Teams with 20 guys can now be competitive with teams of 300.........teams with very little funds wise can now compete with teams with more money than they know what to do with. Now when you bench a Card or CPU you really truly are benching for your team. When a team can not afford to buy a retarded amount of multiple cards and or multiple CPU's the way it currently is they have no chance.....why bother competing if you know you won't get ahead. If any thing this makes it cheaper for teams as a whole to compete, I fail to see how that helps manufacturers.........when teams as a whole don't need to buy say 20 GTX 480's just to stay in top ranks
  16. To my knowledge this is grey area. Me and my whole team could pitch in on something and then sell to each other for a dollar. You can call it selling hardware if you want but it's nothing more than an exploit of the rules. It's still worth points to the user just not worth points to the TEAMS total. The above post is exactly why this needs to be enforced, I have some preety damn good cpu's I'm gonna pass err I mean sell them to team mates so we can dominate 1st through 10th in each category......... Picture getting clearer now?
  17. Totally agree its radical, I also admit I do not like all the changes but on the same token while some of these changes may not benefit me personally, I'm guessing they will benefit the majority.
  18. CPU sharing for 2d is really a non issue. Vga sharing is more so especially in the popular rankings. Think about it, If someone shares a cpu, voltage required for XX clocks per bench app, and certain attributes are easy to spot. None of that can be applied to VGA's. Lower cpu clocks Drop vga clocks 25mhz on this and raise 25mhz on that change background, try and prove someone did that. Do that 5 times and bang your team just got 100 points for one benchmark in a popular card class. Multiply that by 5 more 3d benchmark apps. food for thought
  19. It's very simple sharing vga's in a team is pointless now. Teams with money to afford to buy countless vga's = pointless for team now. It levels the playing field for those teams not so fortunate hardware wise to have 20 vidcards in the same category if it's really indeed 20 diff cards or the need to have a large amount of benchers and constantly be recruiting....., encourages teams to bench as whoa hold on for this one "AS A TEAM" as in together at the same location. It's quite obvious as the way things are currently that a team with maybe 10-15 active benchers has no chance against teams with 50 active benchers. Geez this team has top ranks, this one doesn't which team shall i join? It's quite obvious not many will go to a losing team. OLD saying Gangs are powerfull in numbers, take the numbers away and your left with a couple of punks with no spines. @ k404 it doesn't seem to effect user points so users can still bench........and with the ambient above 0c category well you don't even see how its implemented yet...... If you really think hardware sharing is not going on, well you need to open your eyes One sign will be team's upset over this, however now that I just explained that no one will be quite so quick to condemn at least that part of the revision for fear of looking guilty.
  20. whoa I'm no PRO especially in 32m. If I was, I would not have gotten spanked by youngpro by 12 secs at same clocks Just here to have fun. Off topic, indy's were always to heavy, I have my self swapped to ventures, lighter weight and they are durable. I'm gonna get vince back on a board one of these events to. Just need to remember to drag my deck along with me.
  21. Yah the c2 550 revs were BE though so i guess they just consilidated, working with locked parts is a tad trickier Back then when i submitted there was only 1 category for 550.
  22. I tried, that's all you can do. I was pushing 1250+ core so it was to be expected, would have been a nice score to with over 1250 fps in nature. Can't always have a good session, just need to put it behind you and move on to the next thing.
