Massman......there is more than meets the eye here still. NO MRL. MRL BTW just figured it out........It's like a speed hack in 64 bit win 7 apparently..... Cpu-z shows NB applies on the fly in windows........so does cpu twkr.....but in vista 32 score says otherwise.........will take a you tube of it Also it's doesn't actually change NB in bios.......and now my OS thinks i'm at 2700 NB. -

Yep o know how to bring MRL down but if you rasie NB again with the tighter MRL = frozen screen -

conclusion is bench is bugged and your MRL is alloiwng you to go very low for whatever reason. On ddr II board max lowest is 52 atm -

it's called win 7 + ddr II with a board that has bad PP and me not caring. -

yah thats not the problem , the problem is apparently this bench is useless and bugged apparently with l3 less cpu's. It's rather obvious that there's no way in hell that that sempron will beat a phenom in anything mem intensive other than this bench much less intel in ddr II. -

check this out, the math is not adding up, wheres my boost from NB with l3 less cache cpu http://chew.ln2cooling.com/athlon%20II%20255/LN2/maxmem2.jpg Frosty shot for kicks. http://chew.ln2cooling.com/athlon%20II%20255/LN2/IMG_2633.jpg -

Ok guys don't waste your time on ln2, NB does not play a major role in l3 less cache chips on ddr II. Pic in a bit when i shut this system down.......running 32m on athlon chip with ddr II O_o -
just use biostar 785g, asus isn't to fond of high ht, least not that board.

massman, no need to jump to conclusions. I think the key diff may be 64 bit os choice or platform choice which we both know can be considered a tweak. -
nah it's something else to bud, like 64 bit OS or the nv platform on ddr II.
-
Yah i did, skeptical about the l3 less chip being the "total" equasion

The Poll: Allow E.S. or disallow ?
chew* replied to BenchZowner's topic in HWBOT Development: bugs, features and suggestions
Some food for thought. I have a 860 Es and a 980x ES. CBB -50 -90CB 860 ES. CBB -60 -100CB 980X. Both suck. I have a 920 retail. 4900 uncore through 32m CB -135 Now I have a retail 5870SOC, came in a retail box, is a retail revision and does 1500 ram through vantage......and don't give me the BS it needs to be binned on ln2. Ram doesn't need ln2 binning. VDDR Ram can be binned just by looking at batch. Point is there is no real solution and it can go either way. How hard is it to rebrand ES with retail batch info.......Lets look back at retail "recognized by cpu-z" AMD 955 BE HL ES chips..... For the record the chip makers know where the best silicon is on a wafer.....they don't need to really get scientific about it once original testing is done. Anyway my 2c i agree with gatman. -
Its a 10/100 ratio that it happens. I have seen it but not as common as it used to be.

depends on how you look at it. rich and dumb enough to buy them. For some the cup is half empty and for some it's half full. Perpectives are funny like that. -

Nice run congrats. Won't hear negative comments from me when people post results and don't try to act all bad becasue they beat air with ln2. Looking forward to your backups. Effeciency says you got quite a bit left there -

Care to elaborate? If busting my ass to get a effecient result makes me a jerk......guess everyone that is competitive on bot is a jerk then. If not sharing my settings makes me a jerk.....well that makes 75% of people on bot a jerk then. If stating the obvious and facts makes me a jerk well your not ready for the real world. Now if I took a pop shot via a comment at the guys on air when I benched on ln2 and you called me a jerk I would say it is a warranted comment, but i'm not the one that did that here. If showing some of the AIR guys that they to can be competitive against ln2 guys makes me a jerk well to bad. -

Cpu power has nothing to do with this contest. To win this contest you must treat it like a low clock challenge...... Nick if you knew all the settings before contest started.....no offense but your score would be far more effecient per clock. A competition is what it is regardless if there is a prize to be had. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Competition Competition is a contest between individuals, groups, nations, animals, etc. for territory, a niche, or a location of resources... It arises whenever two or more parties strive for a goal which cannot be shared
