  5. Haha yeah rendering is quite an Art If someone know how to do that, feel free to participate! I didn't had time this weekend to go print. I will check if there is a opening later this week to give this new file a spin! Thanks @jaffers for your help! And now that you have the files, feel free to explore other ideas if you have some.   7. Hey guys, So I'm making a different thread for this. It all based on what was discussed in the previous post about the brackets. @jaffers over there submitted some .stl file of an ATX to SFX adapter to be able to fit these smaller PSUs onto the Open Benchtable. So on Monday I went to the local Hackerspace (yeah, it's almost my second home (after the office) and I printed it as Jaffers designed it. And guess what, it's working Here are some pictures from the process : I also posted some videos on the Facebook page, check them our here : Now for the mounting. I was a little skeptic at start as the adaptor itself is actually very thin and I wasn't sure if the screws (the ATX ones) would be able to: - 1, make a thread by forcing them through - 2, hold the adapter enough against the table to secure it. So as you can see, the adapter works but it could be improved a to fit perfectly the benchtable. So we need to make it larger so we can use the screws highlighted in red to mount the adapter to the table. And use the screws in blue for the SFX PSU mounted to the bracket. Thickness wise. using the same is fine. It's strong enough like this. FYI, printing time is about 1h.   9. @Niuulh I made these out of LPA plastic. @der8auer indeed! Not sure we want to order 500 of them though. We actually still have about 80 pieces of the original alu brackets in stock for those who want spare of the originals or simply want nice ones as extras. After, if its' just a few brackets in plastic needed here and there, I can help with 3D printing here and ship - will be just simpler and faster than ordering hundreds. ^^
  10. Whohooo, Awesome thanks Jaffers! I will try to find a moment this weekend to swing by again the hackerspace to try it out. I think if we need more thickness it will be on the outer screws (where the ATX holes are). But .. might not be necessary. I'm just worried it may not have enough grip... But! It needs to be tested. So don't change anything for now, I will try it and let you know

Hey guys, We are working on the logistics to be able to supply additional spare parts (screws / brackets / PCI-E stand) but, yesterday I wanted to try to 3D print brackets to see how that was possible and if it worked well Video over here of the fabrication timelapse. Total making time is actually quite shot. 7min. We ran the 3D printer slower as it had some issues with the full speed ^^ So took me about 10 min per piece. The final pieces are fairly solid, I tried to break one between my fingers and ... impossible. So not bad at all. Since we will be adding the source file of the website next week, this will be going to the first projects posted on there and anyone that want to make these as spares for his table can. Some pictures:

  13. Haha, nice trick. As trouffman said, be careful with the weight of your rad. The standoffs are made of steel, so they should be fairly solid - still we do not recommend doing that too much ...

  18. I think everything has been said correctly. The open license for the blueprints of the table are not there to encourage copies of the table itself, but to encourage the development of an ecosystem of mods and accessories made by and "profiting to" the fans around the world that make them. (Note here, we are not selling licenses for someone to be able to make official accessories - its an open opportunity) So for example, you are probably better off spending time doing a specific and useful accessory for table owners that you sell say 15-20$ rather than taking the files and making a cheap copy. These accessories will be of greater use to the community and all the credit is then for you for making them Especially if you have the tooling - there are pretty much endless possibilities. I think if someone wants to break the law of copyrights, he can and he sure will ... But, he probably doesn't need the blueprints to do that ^^. The table as it is, is it's own blueprint. There is no hidden magic, or stuff you can't reproduce without measuring skills and time. At the end of the day it all boils down to personal ethics. Nobody win's from this, and it just spreads negativity. We do entrust our community with these files - and that's what we want to focus on.
