Not to be picky or anything, but you've got a typo in my name on there
-
Heh, don't think it's supposed to be, there're multiple graphics processors on that thing. Of course, it's also 3d01.
-
Very cool. I'm in! I'll post some scores later today.

The p67a-ud4-b3 bios f3b is a pretty big improvement over f2, it still needs some work though.

I think the idea is that the more publicity the board is given the more likely they are to make more dedicated OC boards.
-
Does this mean that overclocking doesn't officially void the warranty on the board? That alone is a major step in the right direction IMO.

Awesome, thanks. HWBot fooled me by not listing it when I put "6800" into the gpu box. If I put 6800 256 then it drops down with the vanilla. That solves my problem! Thanks again

Ticket ID: 1210 Priority: Medium I just got my hands on what I thought was a 6800gs, but it has the wrong core and the wrong stock clocks, not to mention the wrong cooler. As it turns out it's a straight up 6800, 12 stream 5 vertex 325/300 stock clocks. If y'all could please add it to the database that'd be great. Wikipedia chart mentioning it here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GeForce_6_Series#6800_chipset_table

I don't see a better way to do it then what is currently in place, right now it's a nice solid line. Any other way would be a fuzzy line or little line at all.

I'd like to see something, either a declaration that we're continuing on the current model, or a declaration that we aren't. If not, some idea of where we are going would be nice!

I didn't think this was even possible...

Good old asrock! Now they need to make a SB board with AGP -

That's pretty impressive! How'd you get below the 4x minimum multi? Never seen the htref that low either! -
CPUZ read error while not using last version
Bobnova replied to Christian Ney's topic in Submission & member moderation
CPUz is doing some rather entertaining math there sometimes. Looking at the top (and only...) three CPUz scores, in one CPUz got it rightish, but is showing 240x16 being 1950ish. Something is definitely screwed up in CPUz. -
Highly suspicious scores with i7 950s
Bobnova replied to Bobnova's topic in Submission & member moderation
Really? One guy explains his in a vaguely believable way and the thing is dropped? I thought y'all were now shutting down accounts and scores if they might look suspicious in the future! -
I love the genuine soviet chips, those're a nice collector's item

Dejo and Dejo's daughter accounts
Bobnova replied to I.M.O.G.'s topic in Submission & member moderation
Kow's right though, there are rules that were aimed at this sort of question of hardware sharing. In this specific case they're being skipped over and new rules are being implimented, namely that if your results might arouse suspicions later, they will be removed. Not because they're invalid or illegal, just because they look suspicious. If this is the way it is going to be, that is fine, but please do put it into the rulebook for reference. In the mean time, I dearly hope that this new "might cause suspicions" rule is applied to everybody, and not just dejo/daughter. There are a lot of suspicious results in the database, and this is a great way to get rid of them. To that end, I have started a new thread that has nothing to do with this one, about some extremely suspicious results (moreso IMO then dejo/daughter, but that's just me). I hope that this new ruling made in this thread will be applied to more then just OCF. -
Very, very, very suspicious, all within 1 mhz of each other? We all know how likely it is to have that many different chips top out at the same place.

Dejo and Dejo's daughter accounts
Bobnova replied to I.M.O.G.'s topic in Submission & member moderation
So if I understand correctly here, dejo and his daughter cannot both make points for the team with the same class of hardware because people might find it suspicious and raise a stink about it, and the HWBot staff (rightly, imo) likes to avoid stinks if possible. Is that correct? If it is, I can understand that. I do not like it, far from it, but I can understand it at least. Given that, my question is, what about the even more suspicious looking i7 950 top20 pages? My favorite is WP1024(spi32m is good too though), here's a little screenshot for you: To me, at least, that looks just a touch more suspicious then dejo/daughter, and I may well make a stink about it. Does the fact that I may make a stink about it mean that three of those four need to combine their accounts/bench for different teams/bench for no points? I can't help but feel that dejo/daughter are being singled out here. If the "might look suspicious" ruling is going to be applied everywhere, I'll shut up and go away. If it's only going to be applied to dejo/daughter, that's a different story (not, of course, that I have any power, at all, anywhere. Oh well). So please, tell me why is dejo/daughter's possibility of looking suspicious is worse then the 950 ranks looking (no "possibly" here) suspicious? -
Dejo and Dejo's daughter accounts
Bobnova replied to I.M.O.G.'s topic in Submission & member moderation
What sort of proof would you want that dejo's daughter is real and doing the benching? Talk to her on the phone about basic tweaks? Skype? Video chat? Video chat displaying the two sets of hardware and talking about benching and tweaks and such? It looks to me like Dejo and his daughter's crime was to be up front and honest about themselves. They followed the rules perfectly, even checked to make sure it was OK before they started. I can understand Massman's point, it's not hard to come up with fictitious relatives, but rather then simply say "NO only ONE family member per team!", why not simply check to make sure they're a real person? This whole thing would never have happened if Dejo's Daughter had a different account name, after all. What if I get a friend of mine interested in joining OCF and benching and coach him? Surely this is resolvable in a way that doesn't stomp on dejo's daughter's goals in life (helping the team that she met and likes, and making some of the members of said team look silly in the team rankings, plus of course benching. Last time I checked getting women into benching was a good idea). -
I disagree personally, core for core 5870 is the more powerful card, and there are only three cores where 2x5970 would be four. That's just me, though.

Here's one for 'em: HWBot is the reason I have a $350 mobo, $1k cpu, and two $500 GPUs. If it were not for HWBot i'd have a $45cpu and $80 gpu on a $32 motherboard. Supporting HWBot makes people spend money (Also, holy crap what am I doing!? That's substantially more money then my car is worth)

The official GIGABYTE Initial K Contest! thread.
Bobnova replied to Teemto's topic in HWBOT Competitions
Marketing. They support HWBot for the marketing. It's annoying, but I'd rather have GBT-only contests and have gbt support HWBot then have totally open contests and no support. I think how it is right now, with plenty of open and plenty of closed contests, is about perfect really.
