  1. K so Bones always benches with HPET on and you can bench with it off, I'll add it to the rules tonite. You will have to drop down to version 2.2 as 2.3 only works with HPET on.

HWBOT Competition Page E-Sports Competition Page Only prerequisite to enter: Retail Corsair DDR4 memory sticks For Air and Water Cooling setups only (no chillers nor any form of extreme cooling allowed) The Corsair DDR4 OC competition will run over 3 stages: Stage 1 from 15th of August till the 7th of September Stage 2 from 30th of August till the 12th of September Stage 3 from the 12th of September till the 26th of September General Rules Participants must use retail CORSAIR DDR4 memory. All participants must use commercially available components and software (Engineering Samples are not allowed). Hardware sharing is not allowed. All participants have to use the same platform (CPU & motherboard) for all 3 stages. All submissions must include the official CORSAIR competition desktop wallpaper, available here: All submissions must include a picture of the working overclocking setup (MB, MEM, CPU cooler clearly visible). After the end of the competition, no more submissions or rectifications will be allowed. We expect fair play from everyone. HWBOT and CORSAIR reserve the right to remove results and/or participants who compete unfairly; The decision is final and will not be discussed afterwards; Examples of unacceptable behavior: Influence others’ submissions to profit your ranking, Deliberately make a mistake in the submissions process and ask later for change.   7. we always used nailpolish to protect the row of SMDs... maybe too much tension on the PCB due to the direct die. Try once with the original heatspreader and see if the CBB and CB shift.... I had 4790K's coldbugging at -125 on idle, while on load they could go colder... Slow mode switch is your best friend with this gen....
  8. I think you repair man is full off.... ofcourse with the non conformal coating it is a nitemare to repair... what happened to your boards ? Still have my first Z97 OC board, after hundreds of hours under LN2 and the Cascade, it looks like crap but boots and benches fine.... if I had to choose from your list, it would be the Z87 OC
