Who inspired you to start overclocking?
Global: Hipro5, Eva2000 and fatal1ty-----> loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool Local: Bassman, Blind and Geeemer Got into overclocking as I couldn't afford the CPU and GPU of a friend/clan mate... Plus at local LAN parties there was always a cup for the fastest PC... 3D01 and AM3 where the benches back then... Games from the dark ages :Quake 3, COD and MOHAA

GB Z77X-UP7 - lower RAM overclocking
Flagship model should be more compatible Sin then the lower grade boards... that's how other vendors approach it. I applaud gigabyte doing the lower models too, but the flagship should be at least as compatible.

Are you talking about 2 or 4 dimms ? 2 dimms work here, but 4 doesn't even post with XMP loaded on my UD5H with a +2800 capable IMC CPU...

Clarification in PCMark'05 about Tweaks // Tricks allowed
Without the shared tweaks I have to rely on solely on the Oc, sadly that will not cut it versus the storage guys

Clarification in PCMark'05 about Tweaks // Tricks allowed
This leads to more more confusion mate, that's my point of the above posts , not everybody reads through this thread. I don't care about PCMark05 , we just benched it to get some team points out of the Team cup (and had a meazle 2 SSDs to work with ) and just used the approved tweaks in the CN PCM05 thread; Now they all get deleted... that's just plain lol isn't it ? Time to get it black on white on paper and asap in the rules of PCM05 what can and can't be done... go go Genieben !

Clarification in PCMark'05 about Tweaks // Tricks allowed
Steve without a valid submision link or full submission text you got no proof it was actually run at 512... neither of the hardware being used, I can put in 20 SSD's in the submission yet continue to use 1K sector format on a drive and switch between it and the other drives to keep eg gen usage lower and let the virus scan rip PCMark apart. Coz it's not visible in the detailled settings from PCM05. Hence why we need a verification link or the wrapper right now... Eg: Glucovios screenshots don't line up, look at the subs, between shot 1 and 2, there are minor detail differencies. Maybe a slip, maybe done on purpose to hide something... you tell me Moose indeed after 15 pages of so called bugged 12.8 driver nagging, now uses the sectorisation too... too proove what ? Something we already knew a month ago ? That it's not related to cache but just how you setup the RAID ? Beats me why them submissions were done... My point is this Sweet If you want to get it sorted, do right from the start, not with 12 inbetween steps... which just leads to more confusion. Nice if you have the hardware right now, set a score and sell it. Then a month later it get's pulled because the rules changed again. It's thanks to the software tweaking guys' ingeniuty, that this benchmark is in it's current appalling state. No idea what some of you exactly want to achieve, however you guys will always got some "ahum tweak" behind your sleeves that will keep the gap. Seriously if you believe in the honesty that all submissions will be done on 512 setting, you will be utterly dissapointed Far easier to believe in Santa Claus... I'm not attacking/accusing anyone, I just see new scores being 10-20K apart from the rest of that CPU type, so till now nothing has really changed... there will always be more then meets the eye in PCM05

I vote for no more PCMark05 submissions till Geniebens wrapper pops up... Latest submitted scores are again a joke to me, the benchmark is not regaining it's credibility if you still achieve a 10-20K difference between the top 3...this with just two SSD's in RAID...

Moose plz stop reporting my scores, they are getting removed on monday evening earliest, Pro is aware why. Plus he knows we used flash2 desktop; all conform the CN thread at that moment for the Team cup. Secondly I want to know before removing them scores what wil happen to the points we got accredited as TEAM... This benchmark is such a joke, looking at your current scores Moose with a 10-20K gap on the rest, ofcourse all according the rules, yeah right I vote for no more PCMark05 submissions till Geniebens wrapper pops up...

That's just the thing Sweet, you don't see all details on the output. Unless you do as the guys proposed and do the output via a text file.

Clarification in PCMark'05 about Tweaks // Tricks allowed
That's exactly my point Steve, if you format via the proposed 512 nothing happens... with 1-2-4K I saw some nice speed improvements in parts of some synthetic benchmarks, ofcourse nothing goes bezerk as PCM05. Conclusion in fact, it's not the RAID 12.8 that is bugged, it's PCMark05 that craps out when an out of the ordinary format is choosen... so in that point Moose's assumption is not correct. Proposition for future PCM05 submissions : MUST include a verification link... PS: spare the master Leeghoofd Steve I'm a complete nOOb at this game and even accused a long time ago some moderators of cheating ( Sorry mista Trevaskis, James still wants to kick butt me )
