  1. what's the stock Vgpu on this card that you got it to 960MHz without mods ?
  2. Tune the clock generator settings in SetFSB so that you go by 0.4MHz FSB and do the switches real slow (once per 20-30s). Yes, it eats LN2 but that's just how this CPU works best. I can't remember having it past 8120MHz using >10MHz steps.
  3. you should have tuned the SetFSB for smaller steps, this chip doesn't like when you change freq by more than 10MHz at one time still, nice to know that the validation is not corrupt
  4. ...and whenever the rev 4 ban button gets invented
  5. it's about on par with the best cedarmills ... unless the retail steppings bring any improvement - it's going to be close on the top in CPUz
  6. ...failure is always an option
  7. LN2 may actually be overkill as very few cards are CB-free and scale below -70
  8. I would disagree with you there ... I can't see air/watercooled scores dominating 6xxx/7xxx categories. And with those weak cards there is very little CPU dependancy, so every GFX MHz counts.
  9. Nearly all achievements are currently broken so you're not alone. They say they'll fix them by ... ehr, eventually
  10. newspost on the frontpage isn't noticable?
  11. if we started talking about "hwbot rules" - I don't think that unreleased hardware is allowed for points, no matter who's the bencher (OC or Pro PC) ... or am I wrong ? ... or who cares?
  12. LOL, cedarmills are oficially dead ... thanks macci for stopping me from further waste of my money
  13. what kind of clocks were you hitting ?
  14. so you prefer SB randomness ?
  15. I noticed those issues to appear on my UD3P only when you're really pushing the CPU close to its max (within <50MHz of it). In which case yes - the stability of same settings may vary depending on the weather conditions on Jupiter, that's why I kept my CPU freqs so conservative. Here's my 1125 6-10-7 32M screen by the way.
  16. cyclone, it's not difficult with the right type of PSC (_ or XE_ methinks). I did 32M at 1125 6-10-7 and the only thing slowing me down was CPU's BCLK wall.
  17. I don't know which VRM the M2F uses, but those are usually cooled through the PCB so you're better off with just a small fan pointing at them.
  18. need to study compatible GPU pinouts ...
  19. They list everything down to keyboard and mouse and have nothing on monitor? Fugger tweaking FTW
  20. IMO, his answers do not suggest confidence, especially the "single-threaded" bit
  21. http://forum.canardpc.com/threads/60228-Change-in-validation-checks-for-very-high-overclocking this ?
  22. you use ES of current-gen CPUs, by Massman rules you must go into pro OC
