  1. lots of people all over the world were looking for those cards , I guess now it's time for everyone to learn greek to buy those
  2. how the hell did you get that latency ?
  3. standart question - batch/PCB code?
  4. Are these lightning versions (which you can't buy anywhere) or reference cards ?
  5. I'm very surprised by the low amount of insulation you use there, especially at the bottom of the pot , don't you kill lots of boards / lose temps by benching that way?
  6. At high clocks and Vcore, Gulftown can pull over 500W of power. Since most modern boards are designed so that most of the power CPU gets through the 8pin EPS, you'd need a unit that can give over 40A of current on +12V rail that goes to the 8pin EPS. (which means that all 18/22/24A multi-rail designs are to be thrown out). Gulftowns are also very sensitive to voltage output quality. What to recommend? I'm not a big fan of Corsair PSU, but their HX850 (70A singlerail) , TX950 (78A singlerail) and AX-series seem to do the job well, just tell us what brands you have available... Personally, I use a very old Silverstone OP1000 (Seventeam built 80A singlerail). Having compared with many "popular" models seems to be best PSU i've tried so far.
  7. read Ice_Angel's comment, Karl there were no ES so low (otherwise I'd have bought for percentage WR )
  8. hi, OMEGA-san can you tell the batch/picture of the CPU? Thanks!
  9. Billy, there is clearly enough evidence of the newer 3005F retails to be capable of being capable of same benchclocks as Q3FE. ...just don't say that Andre, BenchBros and the danish guys were all paid and given "special" 6.5GHz+ retail-looking ES by Intel
  10. $500 will make a huge difference for your wallet ?
  11. overclocking will be same, batch range is more narrow, price is higher and the availability is worse - useless cpus
  12. er, so I'll have to send my G6950 and P55 board back to gigabyte to "upgrade" ? any prizes for #2 / #3 ? will suck if some gigabyte employee will sweep a contest and non-sponsored guys will be left over with nothing.
  13. I think sponsorship discussions are to be kept out of this topic... If they'll be limited to retail - sponsored guys will have the most/best retail hardware If ES are allowed - sponsored guys will have the best/most hardware to bin whatever it is - retail or ES. Period If we're discussing ES vs retail only taking into account Gulftown chips, I foresaw this problem long before GT has hit retail even (ask Massman ) Anyone who has tested at least five CPUs of each stepping (including me) will confirm that on average A0 do indeed clock better than B0/B1. The only question to be answered - are ES to be allowed for ranks? All depends on who we (overclockers) want to listen most to a) Intel, who are saying that ES are illegal to own (so you're submitting scores with hardware you don't own, etc) b) "some guys/companies" who have improved their ranks/ratings by using ES chips
  14. got picture of the actual CPU ?
  15. PCB code tell me much more than the actual batch
  16. check the submission date , CPUz of that time could not show core voltage in validation
  17. DryIce 1.70-1.75, very rare CPUs scale above that
  18. I wanted to say that L710Axxx Malay and everything later (including L8xxxxx) is rather boring. If you want gamble - look for China CPUs
  19. Majid, L710-8xx Malay are very consistent at 7.2-7.6 under LN2, but they're not 8G chips TerraRaptor, no motherboard mods are necessary for P5E3-Premium. You can set 2.1V direct from BIOS.
  20. I usually test Cedarmills in 2-3 stages Stage1: POST 5GHz on air with 1.45V (50% of CPU fail to do this, if a CPU can't do this, there's no way it's a 7.6+ LN2 chip) Stage2: DryIce suicide at 6.4GHz (20-30% of CPUs fail to do this, if it fails, even with perfect scaling it won't hit 7.6+ LN2) Stage3: the actual LN2 test I currently have 15 cedarmills (http://www.abload.de/img/dsc03822cmwn.jpg), ten of which still need sorting out.
  21. I asked Massman before submitting old validations - he said they are allowed. Too sad I can't submit many scores due to old SuperPI / wPrime versions
