Is there an official answer on this thread ? There are more than 5 users in enthusiast league (talking about above 500 points) which use waterchiller. Can a admin say what is allowed and what is not ?

a quick test Vgpu-1.34v Ambient 26.5 Celcius 1300 fps i think it's possible at the same frequency.

what cooling did you use ? Ambient/voltage/model of videocard ?

If your card is with 216 shaders they are the same. 260 192 shaders/280 have different layout and they allow voltage control via software. With wolfdale you will loose many points,it's better if you have at least a sandy -5500 mhz (10k difference than a e8400 at 5.1,at least).

fuck ! that gtx 260 could go over 900 mhz on air easily Take the gpu and put it on something on a custom one with good ram. Try a gainward golden sample,they usually go over 1400 on ram and it is custom pcb.

A little suggestion for those who are new on 3dmark2001 ,take the guide and study it,there are only guidelines,it doesn't means that those settings will bring you the maximum points. The lod settings are configuration independent,maybe mine will not work at you,the same way as for me.You have to test yourself which LOD is the best for each sub-teston your configuration. Another thing is the test order,there are different combinations,also is best to see which are the most susceptible to frame dropdown,so you can put them first.Try different combinations.

You could improve a lot your score.The best way to learn tweaks is to be motivated,for example in a challenge. I know some people get upset when you tell them that,but it is the truth,anyone can learn new things it's a matter of will. I would like to buy 2 of these beauties,i already own 2 matrix and i need 2 of these.
