Don't worry I am trolling MSI HQ about it, they are aware of AOOC dates and also agreed with me, that overclockers will need a small rest after AOOC (some of us will extend stay a bit I suppose and so on), so I think they will do MOA 20.10+
-
on HWBOT is around 40K users if I remember correctly from interview so 1500 overclockers and some casual 24/7 MSI parts runners sounds possible lol but seriously speaking it's a lol No date yet But it will be after AOOC for sure

Very good CPU -
I understand, that's why I think moa 2012 statistics should be x2 or 1.5-1.8 ratio to eliminate the fact that this time some teams split into 2 participants

Haswell 4670K/4770K Batch and Serial Numbers
Xtreme Addict replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
take ES lol Maybe grab L314 or L306, I saw highest results from those... -
I am not referring to you or Joanna. I am simply counting that some of potencial participants of MOA 2012 would take +1 person, who is not an overclocker (and by overclocker I mean someone who doesn't have account on any computer forum/hwbot, doesn't overclock by himself (even for 24/7), probably can't even build a computer like wife, girlfriend, good friend - honestly speaking some ln2 waitress who isn't potencial MSI client, MSI can't use his "work" for marketing purposes). I am referring only to MSI PR point of view, sure for MSI MOA is also fun, but the most important aspect is marketing cause even with this limited edition, still some serious money are involved. That's why entries shouldn't be counted x2 but with lower ratio to create statistics of MOA 2012.
-
But single nicks - entries this year is more 54 users took part in HWBOT MOA 2012, so we can count it as x2 or x1.5 (some of ocers would take wifes, girlfriends and so on) http://www.3dmark.com/competitions/MSI-LOC-2012/ 1500 entries in LOC lol (500 per category, so I guess there was some limit... best 500 results lol)

The Gigabyte Z87/Haswell Overclocking(OC) Guide
Xtreme Addict replied to sin0822's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
It would be great Soon for sure I will use your guide to get familiar with GB board when it comes -
I thought that Massman counted MOA 2012 x2 (two persons as team)

The Gigabyte Z87/Haswell Overclocking(OC) Guide
Xtreme Addict replied to sin0822's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
Show me one, so far I hadn't seen any Even if there are 6.5 GHz SPI 32M (please show me one), ES are clocking higher. -
The main problem is pure stupidity, that's all. If someone wants to get hurt or is stupid enough, he can die from washing dishes... or taking a shower.

Haswell Q-Spec for Engineering Samples
Xtreme Addict replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
But we can ban all magic ES cpus ;] Magic QE6H ES are also much better than retails... so far is 20 days after the lauch day. Retails were binned by overclockers and vendors (for OCed computers by default) from 2-3 months. There is a reason why vendors like Asus had to lower def OC in computers So far best retail is 6.4 GHz SPI 1M? Not good. -

Xtreme Addict replied to sin0822's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
Excellent work But I would like to really see some good overclocking on retails, not magic ES cpus -
This is a good news. Considering the fact that rules aren't still so friendly (even after some changes) (in class A -> Ivy, SB-E, Haswell, 7970 + Titan), it's good that the marketing level is still a bit higher. Class B helped for sure in interest. Next time (if there will be MOA 2014) with better rules (better selection of benchmark, maybe cheaper platforms, maybe better prize distribution/tickets) the popularity can raise much higher. It shows that this format (Class A + Class B) has some potencial.

boomer lol It's sad, but in fact I am laughing from it, I made a lot of things with LN2 in my life and in fact it seems to be more safe for me than water lol I slipped so many times in the bathroom lol

Haswell 4670K/4770K Batch and Serial Numbers
Xtreme Addict replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
okay, don't buy this batch I think Best cpu needs to BOOT TO BIOS 1.45vcpu @ 4.8 GHz, second - 1.5v to boot into bios, third need LN2 to boot 4.8 GHz. I also tried mem controller on the third one. Can't boot 2400 ;] I love you intel for your magic ES cpus :* -
yap, looks really good

Haswell 4670K/4770K Batch and Serial Numbers
Xtreme Addict replied to Massman's topic in Haswell (Z87/Z97) OC
"K" cpus have one advantage for me... I mean it's really much more easy to sell cpus after binning. I remember C2D E8xxx, i7 9xx (Bloomfield). For instance it was very hard to sell E8500-E8600 cpu, the same with i7 940, 950, 960... everyone wanted to buy "cheap" E8200-E8400 chip or i7 920... and binning low multi chips wasn't so good for LN2 (I mean total highend). Now it's good, I order only 1-2 models of each generations (like 2500K, 2600K, 3570K, 3770K, 4670K, 4770K, 3930K, 3960X) and there is a demand for those cpus cause normal cpus are lemons, for 24/7 non oc use only for simple users, and those rarely build their own computers from parts now.
