  1. My previous job 7 years ago was soldering smd , leds, resistors..with a decent weller station soldering should not be any problem. Getting the right component probably will be the thoughest job. And mosfet lol yes word didn't cross my mind.

Thnx for the input, will use this info and see what I can do. Report later..

haha you made my day ;)

good luck with repairing gpu :)

  2. You have burnt mosfet and now it makes a short. You can remove it and maybe GPU will start to work. If PCB didn't melt (traces inside PCB) and nothing more died, there is a chance you can replace it, but if you don't even know what the part is called, I think you don't have soldering skills or tools to do it :)

  3. :)

It's normal GD65 + Killer E2200 + Soundblaster emulation technology+ fancy colour (but I preferred original colours despite the fact that I really like a dragon).

Nothing to test or add. It's a very well known board. Good for gamers & OC 24/7, not good for LN2 (MOA 2012 death toll). You can only check if Killer E2200 really helps in multiplayer games :D

  4. Great job :)

From my experience mostly there isn't big difference in max screen and so on, but thermal pastes differently "hold" stress on ln2. With Gelid I mostly get much higher MHz clocks in benchies which test Physx like 3DMark11 CPU test or 3DMark Firestrike.

I would also test EVGA Frostbite "no name silver based thermalpaste in Taipei which few many Taiwan overclockers used for years". I really like this thermal paste :)
