  1. Yoo Yeah, LN2 special bios (1500 gpu and only P0 state) is locked with memory OC. I asked MSI to prepare P0 state bioses with locked memories 1750,1800,1850 and so on, hope they will do it
  2. hahaha CPU pot can be usefull for OC Workshop lol
  3. haha I only tell that with such cpu it's in theory possible to do some WR, I guess we will stuck with 5.2 GHz cpus
  4. Wprime + I = burnt cpu/mosfet or really inefficient run Vantage + 1 vote from me It all depends from GPUs and CPUs, in theory with 5.6-5.8 Ghz CPU and 2000/2000 GPU near 17K can be done
  5. Every new limit or complicated rule makes the competition less attractive! I think the best idea is simply just like it was in MOA (I stage and II stage) or weekly prices like in LOC. It encourages overclockers to do serious results and publish them (I & II stage but everything has to be with normal time frames, it can't be abused and in my opinion it shouldn't be present in every contest, remember - many overclockers bench only on weekends or when they have some spare time). Weekly prices make overclockers less sandbagging (of course if they want to win additional prices). Many overclockers try many samples of cpus/vgas and sometimes it happens that they find a golden one last day. There are also cases when hw has to be shipped from abroad and stucks in custom office... Sandbagging will be present or simply the highest score won't be the winning one. It can't be eliminated but can be reduced a bit.
  6. It's MSI/Intel decision - in theory X79 is the highest platform... Ivy would be fun, but also there would be big chance that few teams wouldn't end the competition with points...
  7. I forgot to add - new ABX MOA edition and new special bios (1500gpu stock) work
  8. "My backup is bigger than your backup" should be our motto Sandbagging isn't fun when you are a victim, but just like fester said - it's a strategy. It doesn't break games rules and it is a bit harder to compete with someone if you don't know his numbers. During contests - if you see someone monster score, cause he found a golden cpu/card you can mobilize and try to find better and beat him, buy more parts, tests more tweaks and so on but with sandbagging sometimes you think that you are safe, you had won a competition but in fact in last few minutes it appears someone beat you, it can be frustrating but we have to live with that, in fact when everyone is sandbagging - it isn't a problem anymore lol, cause no one knows their results until the end
  9. hahaha they swapped photos lol, my picture is with "Piwor" nickname and his photo is "Xtreme Addict"
  10. +1 for marketplace
  11. Xtreme Team -> Xtreme Addict + Piwor By the way, I just got email with MOA staff and applications, check your mails!
  12. Agree, during Gulftown era 4x 5870 or 2x 5970 was the way to go in 3d03,3d05,06, aquamark or heaven
  13. Nice job You are lucky that you have old rev. of Lightning 680 lol
  14. I understood from chinese site that every team will have their own steel lover = ln2 maid lol * I saw this site 2days ago and there wasn't any info about contest ** I could be a bit drunk when I saw this site for the first time
  15. I heard there will be hardware mod guide so it should be much more interesting during finals but I still hope those new cards will also have software voltage control like old ones via new ABX or other special bios
  16. I got today my 680 Lightning retail, 1.1v on ln2 bios (new revision). When I flash it with old ln2 bios I have artefacts even in bios lol. Something changed but rev. on PCB is the same in theory. So no OC this weekend...
