  1. At least on early versions you could just rename the 64 bit to 32 bit and it would run 64 bit
  2. @bartx do you think this compressor would work if I changed the oil. I happened to get it today free from work and it is supposedly still functional. I would have to use a step up convertor to run it but I already have a 2kw one so as long as there are no issues using a step up then I will most likely be going the diy rout. Depending on how far I get with milling my own evap I may be buying one from you Bart. If anyone has any tips on how to change the oil that would be great. Also a cheap Manifold Gauge suggestion would be helpful.
  3. @Random that's the problem, the college does not have with ln2 costs because we are still on progress to get official recognition as a club so all funding is done by donations by our small member base. For ln2 we get it at a welding supply shop, there is an airgass but they quoted me at 10$ maybe if I got copies from others who bought from airgass they would price match but the welding shop refused to match their competition. I am also the only one with a dewar so it isn't worth it to drive two hours to go l someone else for ln2.
  4. @Randomfor me ln2 is 5$ a liter so for pretesting it is helpful to have a phase or two. I may just setting with using my cascade and getting a fish tank chiller for people to learn on.
  5. @Random for the gas my place of work has 15+ 25lb of r407a that I could probably get permission to use some of. The problem with doing a phase is I can't weld in my apartment, I am looking into getting a membership to my local maker space so I can make an evap on a cnc and find someone to help me learn to weld.
  6. I have a dual ac chiller that gets down to -48 with three 400 watt TECs inline but the unit draws so much power and is incredibly inefficient though it is good for multi gpu. The main problem with it is that it is hard to move back and forth to my apartment and where the oc club meets.
  7. My budget is about 400-450 and I have seen some go for less so I think I just need to be patient.
  8. @Random Murderer I have thought about building one but I have never welded before so it will take some time before I feel comfortable making one. I will mostly just be using the single stage for ram/small gpu cooling because i am picking up a cascade to replace dice in a few days.
  9. Price drop to 65 plus shipping.
  10. For water or even single stage it isn't a problem but for a #1 chip it just doesn't cut it. My best could do 503 on air without paste at 1.77pll. There are probably some good CPU's in there for quick points on cascade but nothing more (probably but this is my first time binning so many CPU's so I am not sure)
  11. Price too high or lack of interest? If it is the second I will sell for scrap.
  12. Still looking. I don't need anything that can handle insane loads just something for people at my colleges oc club can lear and practice with.
  13. @_mat_thank you for all your hard work for this community , I say we ditch geekbench and never give them another penny. I would love to see benchmate receive points when you and the devs of the bot think it is ready.
  14. @_mat_So this isn't a sure thing and if it is going to happen it is a little ways off but here it goes. I am currently doing the paperwork to get me and my friends who overclock to get registered as an official club for the college and get funding. If I receive funding I would be more than happy to give a portion of it to benchmate.
  15. https://www.patreon.com/benchmate
  16. While I do agree with supporting HWbot I think the reason or at least a big one is thst a paywall can limit the growth of the community it terns of new members. I think one option is a small fee to join competitions not much maybe a dollar or so. I know that has its own problems but it is just an idea. It is hard to keep the site funded without driving new members away. I would be more than willing to contribute to HWbot monthly or yearly but it has to be done in a way that keeps people coming. Maybe the first six months or year could be free.
  17. I think there should be a donate link on the hwbot.org main page so more people can see it.
  18. I know 2.50$ isn't much per month but that is the point if everyone gives a little it will add up. We have 1271 active members in the Elite, Extreme, Apprentice, and Enthusiast leagues combined if even half of the community gave 5$ a month we would have almost 3200$b a month and I know a lot of us can give more than that. I just joined this community but have been benching for a few years and if others who are new are also willing to donate we could even more to the development of the bot/BM
  19. I think most of us are in the demographic, I am a college student but I still bench and if I have enough to bench semi decent hardware I have enough to support the development of HWbot and BM, no I can't donate 50$ a month but a one time donation of 10$ or even 5$ is not going to make it so I can't make rent and if it is then I probably should not be spending money on oc.
  20. I think a lot more people would be willing to do a onetime donation rather than a monthly contribution. I would be willing to donate 10$ one time but I am a student so monthly donations/subscriptions are something that I try and stay away from so I can better manage my finances.
  21. Still looking. Also willing to trade.
