  1. Yeah would be nice. I think that its just ridiculuos that the ONLY raytracing benchmark ( which is also a really good gpu performance only benchmark) is not part of hwbot even more than one year after release. Its just as @Rauf says the benchmark database is outdatet. And since AMD is throwing Cpus with more and more cores at us there are no Benchmarks which either can keep up with the performance or arent even able to measure it correctly. But just complaining is easy... first of all we need more benchmarks which can cope whith more cores. --but thats another story and that thread is focused on adding pr.
  2. Dancop and I did already bench the cpu on ln2 . Score was about 5650+ r15 @ 5.5 We did not safe it because it was just testing ? If we revisit it it gets intresting ? The Cpu was the best out of FIVE!!! Difference between cpus is really big. You notice it directly on ambient. Look at the pic. I did some ambient pretesting. FCLK is wrong all cpu 1,3,5 could all do 1866 fclk. the rest not.
  3. Ln2 mode did also set pll to 2.1 and some other voltages were changed to. That's interesting. We enabled the jumper and also ln2 mode in bios. It looks like some voltages the ln2 mode enables make it worse. Which bios did you use?
  4. Sunday @Dancop and I did benched the 3950 on ln2. We used the Impact with Bios 015. We encounterd a lot of issues with booting at low tempretures. First of all our Cpu had no CB. The CB was introduced later on as we tried to rise the fclk. So the cpu had fclk cb (I will call it fCB to easy distinguish between the two.) Since there was no CB we got to full pot an ran 5.5 @ 1,7 set. This worked pretty good. As we tried to ran more than 5.5 the screen got black instantly and from there on our issues with booting at cold began. Retry and safe boot didnt work. After some trying we figured out that we could boot at -103 if we cleared cmos. That worked every time!!! But that was pretty anoying because all the settings where gone... If we wanted to Boot without cmos clear we had to heat up to -57. This cbb seems to be the same as mentioned from @Wizerty and @KaRtA We didnt find any voltages to avoid that cbb. --> it seems that there are some Auto voltages which are set after cmos clear which help booting at lower temps! But we did not figure out which exaclty. If anyone does please write it here in the forum so it can be written in the guide!!! Then we tried to gain permormance by increasing our FCLK. We found that the cpu could hardly do more than 933. Vddg was at 1.225. Further rising any voltages did not help. The cpu had fCB at -177 . We then stopped testing because we wanted to bench my 2080ti kingping on ln2. So to get to a little conclusion: The cbb seems to be an asus problem since some of you mention that on msi boards it dosent occur. Also @GamersNexus did a 4h livestream benching the 3950x on the msi godlike with a lot of easy rebooting at -160. I hope the issue with the asus boards will be fixed. If somone finds a way to avoid it please let us all know!

  16. I do it only for fun. I like it to push that hardware to the limit and see how many watts its using I did bench before even knowing hwbot so medals and so dont matter to me.
  17. Hello guys, since a few of you may have a 2080ti kingpin i wanted to share with you my solution on using the card in a daily custom watecooled pc. The issue is that if you remove the original cooler and mount a vga only cooler or something like this memory wont be cooled anymore. My solution was to modify a EK WB VGA only waterblock so it fit s the gpu with the mem cooling plate on. With a CNC i milled the cooling plate of the block to 37x37mm On the sides I milled 1,5mm deep. The result looks like this: and temps are great! The only thing you need then is new mounting screws. I took some M3 with nuts.
  18. @Nerxan yes 83 is really bad for a DP4 with just that low voltage. Delidding is the way to go on coffe lake for daily and gaming. I build 4 Pcs for friends 3 with an 8700k and 1 with a 8600k. delidded everyone of the cpus and dropped about 20 degrees. i5 is running on a Be quiet top flow with 1,36vcore @ 5,3 Ghz
  19. A relly easy way to promote oc more would just be livestreaming. On Instagram you only need an acc and you re reay to go. Same for YT and twitch. Dont know how its on FB. Every Time I ll oc something I ll at least make some videos to post them afterwwards on Instagram. And well some people respond and say thats cool but dont know why I am doing it. We now live in a time where its really easy to get much attention fast. With a litte bit of knowledge of how social media works we could easyly attract more people. We just need a few people per country who would do it. As for example: I follow @Samsarulz on instagram and i think he recently got streaming equipment. I found a lot of you on FB and most of you post pictures of your rigs and verification sc. If people who dont know whats going on see a screenshot with a number of points an 3 times cpu z and so on... they probably skip it not knowing whats going on. To catch their attention just take a picture of a frozen pot with some splashing ln2 around it and maybe a small video. That will catch the. I think the main Problem is that most of the people think xoc is just a small community and at most one or two guys per country do it. If we promote more and change that mindset we will probably gain newcomers. -Thats just my opinon on how I think we could get attention-
