  1. Thanks to all! @ Dinos - will go back to work then.. I need those RTL in my life! Board was solid through ~4.5hr session. No complaints
  2. *tRAS - will not POST, 4x chan any lower *tRFC - will go down to 300 at current temps/volts/speed ... but was slower, maybe not fully stable *cache won't do 3.7 on air *sticks would not do twcl 9 nor train 1T @ 3k either... *RTL @ 57/58/59 ..hoping OS brings the efficiency, or cold Time looks to be off ~3sec even with wazza..
  3. Gskill 3200 C16 kit.. @ 1.65v - more efficient OS would see much better time with these settings i think
  4. XP needs ME or chipset but it works.. 5820k - 7m 34.266s http://hwbot.org/submission/2628165_
  5. it may work to lower OCP.. see where stock value is at according to the below *from DS - " Connect this pin to the VCC pin through a resistor (RSET) to set the effective value of the internal RISEN current sense resistors. The values of the RSET resistor should be no less than 20kΩ and no more than 80kΩ"
  6. @ newlife - use some fine surgical tweezers if you can to squeeze the resistor and 'rock' back'n'forth until it pops free. *otherwise.. I would try your idea with trace/cut.. just make sure you can test and repair if necessary. @ Calethea - *RSET & ISEN1,2,3,4 will be for OCP.. trace them to resistors for mod, increasing resistance should move OCP range higher *VSEN - OVP .. may not be necessary, trigger is ~1.73v; trace to resistor for mod, increasing resistance should move OVP range higher *FS -> VCC - Frequency switching may help.. to disable set droop, make sure FS pin is tied to VCC with resistor (and not ground).
  7. yes, you must replace the resistor .. either with another of higher value or with VR
  8. For 5960X - I only had CPU for testing.. but using default t-count cause bug runs too, which is why I start using other t-counts. I typically dont get into the habit of saving bug results... but for the sake of this thread, guess I had better start *24 was causing a lot of bug results as well, getting 4/5 runs with bug (using Win7 too to eliminate ACPI issue with octo core in XP) 8c/16t = 1t bug, 3t bug ... so how can default settings be used?
  9. *testing 5960X - i get bug result every run if t-count used is 8/16 ..
  10. after looking back through DS, seem there is no VID for this application *OVP will always be +125% of set voltage using 'FB' .. at higher volts/clocks you may trip OVP under load. *OCP can be adjusted by increasing resistance for CSN1 and CSN2 - which monitor power through inductors/phases
  11. best way for quick fix of APW is with VID mod.. which will increase OCP and OVP together
  12. *the number of threads can be greater than the actual # of cores\threads CPU supports... that has never been an issue for this bench *the number of selected threads needs to be evenly divisible by the # of CPU cores though... otherwise nearly 99% time produces a bugged result If your benching 4c/8t, your likely going to end up with best results using thread sets like 32,48,64 ... always run the longer thread set last though. --- -I understand this is quite possibly the only bench on the bot where you can select default settings and get a bugged result (OC aside) -I understand that most people do not take the time to familiarize themselves with the rules associated with submitting a bench result What I dont understand - what all the fuss is about, concerning this bench. If people would put time in on the bench to learn it better (isnt that what we do as benchers anyhow... ) they would come to learn what produces bugged results, as well as valid ones; quite easily too! Obviously this was not done thoroughly enough previously, which is why there is so much confusion regarding valid results. If anyone were to follow any of the info I have posted previously they would be hard-pressed to make a bug result ! **the only changes the owners of the software need to make; the bench needs to detect how many cores CPU has and disable 'oddly divisible thread sets' from selection.
  13. them laws - "what you got in the back.. " OC'r - "Couple Tec9's and a Venom... bit of gas" them laws - "Put your han.. *BANG BANG BANG* " **thats pretty much how goes for me.. cops dont like seeing the smoking dewar through the back window of my hatchback... and feel the need to ask a lot.
  14. XTU is great for sending CPU to afterlife!! Nice result, lot of CPU going to die chasing that score
  15. try again with only SSE3 and more threads ... you might like the results
  16. time measure can be from HPET fault.. got a bunch myself. **Hope its good!
  17. Airgas won't authorize a "nation wide" account..they will for a business.. but rates would still be subject to change locally. So ultimately, the prices would fluctuate in each state/county you ordered from.. *already tried..
  18. good CPU and nice uncore!! *11th hour benching FTW ! who needs backups when you can still be benching !! lolz
