  1. agreed, I like the 'open' hardware format
  2. yeah i know i screwed that up.. its happened more than once. believe me, as soon as i submit it and see the gold global cup, i KNOW something is wrong lol thanks kenny
  3. oh right, its the last 4 digits of the serial number
  4. cool thanks. but ive never seen the "10th - 13th digits". all of them ive seen on sandy/ivy follow the 8-digit format, like 3218C021 L204B515 etc
  5. sounds plausible. and in my opinion, why would someone who has so much going for him risk it all for something like this. i believe it was an honest mistake, but that doesnt mean there shouldn't be a consequence. there should. i want to know more about this rice and cat litter. what are you using it for?
  6. im wondering what the last 3 numbers of a batch signify.. so, for example 3218C021: what does the '021' signify?
  7. Well, i definitely think intel should put that kind of information in their chips, or at least put it in the SKUs that are popular in the OC community (like 3570k, 3770k, 3930k, 3960x, etc). By including this information in the CPU and being able to view it in CPU-Z, all of these problems and accusations will be a thing of the past!! I know, this probably sounds absurd or far-fetched, but I do not think there is another way to verify what chip is being used. If enough of the pro overclockers and other "big-wigs" petition Intel (and AMD) for something like this, it could actually be done pretty easily. It would be a great change for the overall good of the community.. progress
  8. The only 100% way is to have cpu-z report batch+serial of the chip being used.. Which I don't think is even possible access that information through software.
  9. is there an official "rule book" ?? for what its worth, i think you guys do a good job at keeping everything as fair as possible. im sure its hard to be in your position, esp with tons of people trying to do your job for you. it would be nice if there was a way to have CPUZ identify the serial/batch of chips.. also, i think mainboard tab should be mandatory
  10. because i didnt have a working copy of XP.. i was having trouble getting my nlited copy to install.. however ive got it worked out now.. my 3d subs from last night were done on fixed XP install
  11. yeah i can order the 2600 kit from Newegg.com but the faster kits arent anywhere to be found but that 2600 kit you got, it sounds like it flies!
  12. i have always kept an eye on the Team Group dram kits.. wish these extreme kits were more available in the US.. cant find that kit for sale anywhere
  13. i wonder if nvidia inspector can force P0
  14. thats definitely nice .. my 01 clock is usually lower.. ~100+
