Can we use multi gpu for firestrike ultra stage? I heard 4 way Radeon vii cf scales good this time of year. also it doesnt say only one amd gpu, just not an nvidia one.

That ddr2 dogpile was a epic effort. its a shame i didnt have a better ddr2 amd board or i would have given you a run for you monies, i stopped benching my amd chips cos that crosshair was driving me insane. rubbish excuse get a cascade/ss/dice if you cant get ln2, then you might be able to keep up at least.

there is some issue with the first set of back plates they sent out with am4 for ek blocks and it breaks the board sometimes.

I have just seen the 15 cores are only £60 ? shame the cheapest board is £1700 XD

the v4 are ddr4 only. the v3 are upto 18 cores and ddr3/4. its still 2.6ghz and like you said, the cost is insane, so i doubt someone would go out and buy one to use in this one competition if they do, then that cool with me! would be epic to see tbh.

There are also ddr3 opterons that are 16 core as well.

It does not say they aren't in the competition limitations and rules? It says 1 processor ie single socket and that server cpus are allowed ie Xeons and opterons. I don't see a reason they would limit Xeons to 6 cores only when the amd fx is allowed which is 8 cores. I think the highest core xeon is 12 or 14 cores for this platform and it wouldn't be faster than a 4770k anyway due to the very low clock speeds.

i think for the ddr3 stage it means for that whole stage you are only allowed to used upto 6 core cpus, as some sandy and ivy and haswell xeons would be 8-15 cores and use ddr3. not the 6 cores are allowed for 771

scaling is not good with dry ice on this gpu?
