  1. It's happening on air too. Am I the only one with this problem?

    FS: Tek-9 Slim

    Bump! Why so little interest?
  3. I'm £20 cheaper than Scan & Ebuyer, £15 cheaper than Aria (their price might be a weekend deal but needs shipping added on top.) Minimum £10 cheaper than Ebay BIN. I don't see a problem
  4. £165 for the 4670K, £250 shipped for the 4770K. I have 4 retail boxed 4770K. £250 shipped each. (pic to come)

    Fs: 4770k oem

    £245 shipped
  6. But..... but.....1467MHz 32M stable on air!!!!
  7. This only happens under cold (well.... i've only had it happen under cold...), even at stock GPU MHz. If I hit the button to "scan unknown settings" (or whatever the exact wording is,) it will crash during the scan and crash the computer at the same time. Could it be a problem related entirely to GPU temp? Thanks K
  8. If I was running a GPU setup with 12GB+ of graphics RAM, 4x4GB or more of capable system RAM has a place.....but ermagherd.... not at 1000 euros. Not even $1000. What about people NOT running their memory under LN2? How do xFR sticks shape up against PSC & BBSE? The story changes, right?
  9. That sounds like a great chip
  10. Personally, I don't care how little voltage a chip needs to do 4.6GHz. UNLESS....a person wants 4.6GHz for 24/7. Has anyone found a good LN2 chip that won't do 5Ghz on air? I wonder if we should consider a second binning point: CPU-Z or boot MHz at 1.40v (same idea as Netburst binning)
  11. I agree with you Which is weird, seeing as my "idea" is the opposite I think HWB comes down to people being (at least a little bit) competitive or not. I like to think that people interested in PC hardware are, generally, at least a little bit intelligent. Would someone want to overclock their obscure computer parts a tiny little bit against no competition and expect a reward for doing it? I mean... that is a VERY big generalisation and I know it, but still..... Sometimes I wonder if most people only care about overclocking their PC parts because they can see a score to beat. (ie... the category already exits and has entries) and I suppose a few are ok to have their obscure obscure hardware added to the database so they can get the gold medals and have their friends buy them a beer in the pub because "guys.... I took world records in overclocking today, buy me a pint" Off-topic: We ALL REALLY need to reduce the number of times "world record" is used on here. Off-off topic. I've been drinking. and I feel fucking brilliant
  12. It's easy to explain gold cups to outsiders "I have 1000 points" means fuck all to outsiders "I have 1000 gold medals RIGHT NOW" is understood by everyone over the age of 6.
  13. If there is no category, there are no results submitted to it, so there will not be enough results to be deserving of a category....so the circle goes around and around. I think I suggested a few years ago that a category should have a certain number of submissions before it is given silverware or points, I still would not mind that happening. (I have a number of 2-point #1 scores, I am not having ideas that do not affect me as well) But... that is an extension of the changes that have just been made, I think the changes are fine for now. Maybe one day, they will need tweaked again, but in my opinion, HWB are on the right path
  14. How do you judge the quality of a score when there might be nothing to compare it to?
  15. I just saw the change in action It'll take some time to get used to seeing the benchmarks spread out (esp in DX9 categories!,) but thankyou very much for making the list make sense
  16. Yea, I am done with binning until i've sold these rejects. I've had more luck with 4670K anyway. 3D06 is the only thing to really be affected.... and wPrime I suppose.
  17. 4770K L313B673. 2C/2T @ 1.40v... failed 32M at 4700MHz. Tragic shit.
  18. http://mindlessfaith.com/ On repeat. and repeat. and repeat. Think Combichrist, slowed down a bit.

    The Fail

    Touche!
  20. So.... if (e.g.) Andre benches some no-competition exotic category.... how many points should he get? He benches 7-pots by himself at crazy MHz. Some exotic 2P system, with limited OCability is, by his standards, pretty simple would you not agree? Who decides the skill level...and by who's skill level is it based on? IMO, your argument is full of holes. The only clear and easy to explain guage on here is number of submissions.
