  1. No ES only in the Elite League. There are five separate leagues, only the Elite one allows for lastest-gen ES. There is one overall table which allows Rookies to see where they stack up against Novices, Novices to see how they stack up against Extremes and so on.
  2. 1) A lot of overclockers want to compare themselves to the top dogs 2) Some non-pro overclockers want to try out the Pro OC cup, but not want to lose the profile they worked on for a long time 3) We still need the separation between Elite, Extreme, Enthusiast, etc. Hopefully the reworked format helps spark interest from the base community to try out LN2 or extreme overclocking
  3. Oh, right. Fixed. The link on the competition page is correct though;
  4. Then again those presentations also said Phenom would be awesome :battle:
  5. That was also the case with the Pro OC League, so not much change there. It would be a hassle - understatement - to give a different set of points for each of the leagues.
  6. Gunslinger in Class B? Two seats left.
  7. The user should be moved to Pro. Pretty sure this is the MSI Media Testing Center having an account lol
  8. There's one table with an overview with everyone, but each of the five overclocker groups still has their own league. Current generation ES can only be used by Elites. Those who want to compare themselves to the "retail" rankings, there's always the option to disable the Elite overclockers (have a view with 4 other groups) or just see their own league.
  9. Yikes, not much win in this thread
  10. Intel Haswell + Kingston/HyperX memory That's all
  11. The competition rules for the stages apart from the LATAM qualifier are not confirmed yet. Expect them to be very similar though. But that's the reason why the pages are not fleshed out yet
  12. Made this a sticky so we can all discuss the HOT in one thread
  13. Follow this, we'll update the memory clock benchmark to something else: http://hwbot.org/news/10972_concerning_the_haswell_memory_frequency_cpu_z_validation_bug

  16. I find point 1 -> 9 hilarious. I find point 10 -> 11 farfetched and unrealistic.
  17. - the bios shouldn't be a problem, that's why the decision not to spend unnecessary resources proving 40+ different variants. - even retailers are unsure about the G3258 release date; it's an issue on Intel side rather than MSI side. I'll bring up the issue of the G3258 with MSI. Maybe we have to allow Core i3 instead, which would sadly enough bump up the price to compete but at least it will be available to all. Or we just allow the G3250. I'll keep you guys update.

  19. Computex had 5.5g validation (even on simple AIO by amateur) and 4.9 Cinebench. There was no 5.5g stable.

  21. Not sure you need an additional BIOS. The AfterBurner Extreme should be available though.
  22. Oh, yeah. That will teach me to use email images
