Should the detected frequency always be equal to stock frequency?
-
Rules updated, now removing the bugged results.

Seems clear: 66% want to keep it and of that crowd, 68% wants disable points and cpu tricking. So, we'll keep the benchmark for nostalgic sentiment, but won't ever give points to it due to it's buggy nature. Just have fun with it!

OC Genie functionality is not enabled according to boot screen. Please do full procedure as shown in example video (including CMOS clear) to verify the OC Genie frequency.

Looks like he disabled OC Genie functionality in the BIOS before taking the video. Pressing the OC Genie button if you have disabled OC Genie functionality has no effect, but I think P55 boards show it in the full logo anyway. -

Is it normal that in OcGenie's video there is no message visible that OC Genie is enabled when the full logo is disabled? -

OC Genie button is enabled, but OC Genie didn't overclock the system because it can only do so after power off/on. -

Clear CMOS is not necessary. On my board, OC Genie changed my overclocked settings. -

OC Genie did not set the overclocked settings, so you set them manually (which is against the rules). The have OC Genie overclock your system, you must: - shut down your system - press OC Genie - power up system Pressing OC Genie button after boot does not activate it. -

Yamahar1's result is not valid: manual OC is not allowed and OC Genie did not set the overclock. http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2155831_yamahar1_cpu_z_core_i7_860_3950_mhz http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2155833_yamahar1_superpi_32m_core_i7_860_9min_37sec_140ms In these two submissions we don't see OC Genie button being pressed -> OC Genie doesn't set overclock. http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2155285_yamahar1_cpu_z_core_i7_860_3932.3_mhz http://hwbot.org/community/submission/2155287_yamahar1_superpi_32m_core_i7_860_9min_48sec_963ms -

Looking into this issue with MSI at the moment. One thing is very clear: OC Genie must be setting the overclock, not the user. So, it's not ok to press it during post and just have the message (OC Genie didn't set the overclock) or already press the button and then do manual OC afterwards. -

I don't see you pressing the OC Genie button? There is no way to tell if OC Genie was already enabled or not. -
Well, all software is prone to hackers and cheaters. If we follow that logic, no benchmarks will be on HWBOT . 99/00 are just benchmarks we added for fun ... I don't think it's too much to ask for people not to use those cpu mhz tricks?

Woohoo! Good luck boys! Very weird how it is an option for someone else and not for you.
