  1. Looking at the list, I must say this is a very strong line-up. - Swedish Seed (winning year after year after year) - Romania (GOOC winner last year) - Belgium (much experience in live contests) - Russia (Smoke: top in hwbot) - Germany (BenchBros: top in hwbot) - Ukraine (did insanely well on MOA WW last year) - Greece (Stelaras and Aristidis are becoming more and more the Hipro/GPR of a few years back) - Italy (kangax top-10 hwbot) And of course there's always one ousider that makes it to the top-5 in a live competition. As Elmor/ME4ME wins, that means only 4 places left.
  2. I don't understand this comment. What I'm basically saying is that it's not because you add certain features related to overclocking that you suddenly have build an overclocker's mainboard. The things I have summed up are characteristics of an overclocker's board, but it's not because you have them that the product suddenly becomes something different. It's not because I buy a rally bodykit for my car that I suddenly have a rally-car. Rampage Extreme is part of the ROG-line. Republic of Gamers. Can this be any more clear? There's a distinct difference between having to make compromises on audio-jacks and USB3 connectors to convince the sales department so you can get upper-management to approve production and building a mainboard targetted at gamers/all-in-one desktop systems, throwing in some overclocking related features and calling it a true overclocker's mainboard. Anyway, I'm not really GIGABYTE's advocate here. When are these boards finally hitting retail FFS!!
  3. In case anyone needs its: - Big Bang-Marshal bios (1.0b28): http://91.121.148.119/downloads/BIOS/E7670IMS.10S - Big Bang-Marshal bios (1.0b23): http://91.121.148.119/downloads/BIOS/E7670IMS.10N
  4. Rampage Extreme - useless features = OC board Classified - useless features = OC board It's not because you cán overclock, it's an overclocking board. It's not because you add OC features, it's an overclocking board. It's not because you add high quality components, it's an overclocking board. The "World's first"-claim is just the MKT way of trying to send the message. Funny/BS/..., doesn't matter. It's just marketing.
  5. Updated again: - 103 FPO/steppings - 303 different samples
  6. Those BIOSes are have B3 base, but modified for B2 boards. I don't think there is many changes. B2 and B3 are identical for BIOS.
  7. - P67A-UD4 bios (F3d1): http://91.121.148.119/downloads/BIOS/p67aud43.f3d1 (B3-BIOS mod by Mayak, click for info)
  8. Modded BIOSes for B2 GIGABYTE boards. The original BIOS was for B3 boards. End-users found the bios to be stable. - P67A-UD7 bios (F3h1): http://91.121.148.119/downloads/BIOS/P67aud73.f3h1 (B3-BIOS mod, click for info)

  10. HW limitation is on CPU side, meaning you can use all the adapters you want.
  11. To quote Shamino: Yes, sometimes it's hard work. Sometimes it's not that much work. For instance, I had the best GTX275 in my hands and could run 100MHz higher than all others ... only soldered vmem mod and didn't even us it. It's the same when hardware is just released: some have ability to buy 4 samples at once, use the best one and get top result. Maybe not best skill, but just ability to bench it.
  12. And I want a 1500MHz GTX580 to get 500 GPU points.
  13. You actually have a better chip than many others ...
  14. They saw your posts here on the forums and decided to be proactively ban you
  15. Thanks Kurbel - GA-P67A-UD5-B3 bios (F3g): http://91.121.148.119/downloads/BIOS/7aud53.f3g
  16. Just want to show two screenshots: The difference between #1 and #20 is 14 seconds for Sandy Bridge and 43 seconds for Gulftown. I understand your point of view as Sandy Bridge brings the very obvious non-scaling with extreme cold (perhaps scaling to -40°C or so), but from another point of view it has brought back overclocking to memory tweaking and software optimisations (which is what many people still regard as the "nicest period in oc history"). I think this is just a different end of the history-curve and brings its own challenges and skill requirements. In June, we'll see another move to extreme cold.
  17. What is the format of the youtube url you're providing?
