  1. Just posting this here because it can be handy for those who want to read up on Sandy Bridge overclocking: http://hwbot.org/forum/showthread.php?t=15647 PDF: http://91.121.148.119/downloads/PDF/ASUS_Sandy_Bridge_OC_Guide.pdf
  2. You might want to -again- check out the front page
  3. No one knows what it is exactly (apart from Intel I guess). Rumours go it's not even a voltage, but some MSR setting that got adjusted.
  4. Ooh! I worked on the AMD processor database yesterday and it's possible the 'unlock core' option got lost in all the merging. Just added the option unlock cores again - can you retry and report if working?
  5. LGA1366 is more difficult to reach high frequencies with because of the MEM/UNC ratio on Bloomfield and of course the extra stress of 3x DRAM instead of 2. That's why the required memory frequency is lower for LGA1366.
  6. Invalid results are mostly due to a large difference between the core you validate and the other cores. No background is needed for CPU validation.
  7. Given the background, did you want to submit this score to the country cup?
  8. Hey Brian, looks like I'm not the only white guy not familiar with 'yellow' being slang for 'gold'
  9. As alternative theme song, I suggest:
  10. Chew* just send me this youtube clip. Excited as he was, he also claimed this to be the official P67A-UD7 theme song .
  11. As far as the messages I received are indeed correct, it seems that this 'internal PLL voltage override' isn't really changing any voltage. It's more like it's just an MSR registry setting. Also, the chips are still suffering from the same bug: walling at a certain frequency. My D2 chip did 4890 on the dot with previous bioses; with the new bios it's doing 5288 on the dot. Not even posting at higher frequencies :-/
  12. Again thanks to Pt1t, the source of everything these days http://91.121.148.119/downloads/tools/cpuz_1562.zip
