  1. I say Not so small update, you are 4 seconds faster than everyone, I'm still in the 58s Do have a 2 x 8gb3600c16 kit of Ripjaws on the way though....57s here I come
  2. I have bought most of these parts in last 3 - 4 months, here is what I paid 4770k L318 does 6.4g+ #DMark 05 etc. super low V, runs CBR 11.5 6.1G 5.6G 1.54V core 1.45v Cache + HWBot Prime at 6.0G 1.4v....$500 shipped Patriot Sector 5 2500c9 untested backup kit, lightly tested by me but passed GB3 at 2800c7 tight......$110.00 shipped, WORTH $175+ My thoughts GIGABYTE SOC Force LN2, New in Box (TopDog)...$210 + $30 ship As for Pi kit of 2300c8 that is a tough one, as you know I was looking to buy these but untested makes it a gamble, I will never pay over $100 + shipping for a high bin set of PSC mems since some of my "better" bin Pi sticks are the worse ones I own, example, I have 4 sticks of Trident 2000c9 9 9 psc tight do 2720c8 tight on air at 1.88v while other kits of PSC (2400c9 and 2200c7) won't be stable above 2600c8 and it takes 1.92v to do so. and to me PSC capable of 2600c8 on Haswell is a dime a dozen, all of my sticks pass 32m and I have about 24
  3. After reading this I was curious to see what info I could find, not exactly what I was looking for but a good laugh none the least. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA0192FM9302&cm_re=geil-_-9SIA0192FM9302-_-Product
  4. Let's take a road trip to Canada with all the Midwest boys... or we could just fly out of O Hare
  5. How 'bout dis, not b die and higher than 1.7v
  6. Even with higher bin Samsung kits such as 2133c9 @ 1.5v or even 2400c9-11-11 1.65v, all kits I've tested starting late 2014 through 2015 the scaling and performance has been pretty awful. 2v too high, naw I have been running a 2400c9 TridentX kit at 2.0v on my daily rig for 5 plus months at 2800-9-12-12-18 . No degradation as far as I can tell :^)
  7. Uhhh yeah ... this is fantastic on all levels. Voltage that low on B die with those results. Do you think the voltage ceiling in terms of scaling for B die will be lower because of the density or otherwise, if similar to E die I'd say we can be anticipating exciting things in the near future
  8. Love the open window bench rig in a box with 2000mm intake. Good job buddy!
  9. Should scale past 2v on air, speeds such as 2400c8-11-11-21-1T tRFC 108-128 tCWL 6, Should be relatively easy to accomplish Ninja edit: You tell em Tap....the king has spoken and claims D die the one
  10. Well if the timings are 8-9-9-24 @ 1.5v, they are double sidded and have 1500 in 5th to 8th place on serial number like pics below they are Samsung HCH9 and should have no problem breaking that 2100mhz mark
  11. Video's are private? I've watched others before

  13. Up for sale is a new open box Z97 SOC Force. Was bought new for Gigabyte's Z97 Last Hurrah, but by the time I found one, had it shipped and spent 2 days trying to Flash older (X04) bios I was out of time. The only thing I did after bios flash (one F7 the other X04) was test 3 kits with PSC ic ddr3 for 2700c8 tight and 2 kits w/ Samsung ic's for 2860c9 tight and got em both to work no problem. $155 USD + shipping. $155 USD + shipping. Item location: US, Wisconsin Private sale, no returns, no warranty. Overclocking results may vary, but were achieved as mentioned using several pretested dimms. Payment via Verified Paypal, buyer covers fees or sends using friends and family. __________________
  14. You can still have bios 1.70 on "A" and put 1.90 on "B" I forget sometimes that we have two bios plus I have extra bios chips I could manually swap too
  15. Im not sure about that cache question but 1.90 is normal bios, 1.92 is for non K sku's. 2.16v Dimm huh, that pic I posted of 4000c12-19-19-28 was at 1.96v real on DMM not bios, bios was 1.925
  16. Try to lower tRCD/RP I find that it is more efficient to run 12 19 19 28 4000ish mhz or 11 18 18 28 3800ish mhz than 12 20 20 28 at a higher frequency such as 4133+ NINJA EDIT, I'd update bios to 1.90 too, sammy e die runs better
  17. Them timings are confusing though... definitely good rtl's, tRFC & tRCD/RP but some of the secondary and tertiary #'s especially tCWL=11 seem questionable. Well the results do speak for themselves and I never claimed to be an expert but breaking into the 56's does look exciting.
  18. This vid seems to show things better, hwbot makes the rules but on this particular subject are very unclear. When I was in Novice I was told I could use ice bucket but not chiller. The rules for league need a solid foundation and this needs to be carried into all comps. There has got to be a league standard so in the future things are as obvious as a homerun (without fan interaction) . It's not really up to me to judge anyones ethics and wish rules were more clear cut and this is why on the last day of being in novice I decided to skip Enthusiast and jump to Extreme. I knew that I wanted unrestricted access to squeezing performance from my hardware, and also realized that if you want to become more involved in this industry and possibly attract sponsors etc. that being #1 in the US in enthusiast won't get you there but being top 10 in your country might. I may not be running ln2 every week, and still enjoy benching w my rad hanging out my window this time of year... all while not worrying about breaking rules. It's nice to know I can dip my rads in buckets of dice if that's what i want to do . One ? though, is using slow mode for XTU legit, I thought in a previous comp we were told the cpu frequency line in the graph had to be visible and remain constant
