Just wanted to say that I think the idea that you have to register for the competition is a very good idea and would like that in all competitions. I have no problem with sandbagging, but when you don't even know who you're up against it's just too sneeky. There is constantly like 10 guys posting in the last hours who have posted nothing before...

ASUS Strix RX460 XOC
You don't really need it. I have had no problems with black screens.

UK Overclocking Event 2017
I'd come if there is a cinebench tex modding contest! No, seriously, I would love to make it again. Last was really good! But depends on the dates, and how certain qualifiers go, family etc...

Hmm, cpu freq is limited to 6003 MHz. Which is fine for 32M, but I'm not sure about the fire strikes. If we set 60x100 we will see at least 6003 in sysinfo, but it is very likely to be higher now and then. Especially for 3d11 physics this is a problem as you can't see reported speed until you upload file... Maybe frequency limit should be slightly higher?

ULTIMATE B DIE TWEAKING GUIDE FOR ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII SERIES
Rauf replied to Xtreme Addict's post in a topic in Skylake/Kaby Lake/Coffee Lake (-X) (Z170/Z270/Z370/X299) OCboard binning is very true indeed. First board managed 4000 12-12-12 with wazza. second board exactly the same. So I started to wonder if my memory was bad (Galax HOF) and that maybe my good g.skill had gotten degraded. But then I tried a third board and it just works. HOF will probably do 4133 12-12-12 or 4080 12-11-11 after a little tweaking and some cold on CPU, they passed a couple of loops just from dialing in timings. Great memory! Edit: this is not only true for Asus impact. I also tried a MOCF and had the same bad results...

Why there is a fee in the Wild Card contest
I don't understand why some people expect everything to be free and/or nonprofit. This is not a charity organization. I think the competitive part of hwbot might benefit from fees in more than one area.

[Guide] Mem OC on ASUS ROG Rampage V Edition 10
Thanks for your comments! @svictorcc I don't have any of the older versions of RVE to test, so I don't know how they are. But try it! @XA From my tests tertiaries were mostly as tight as they could go with auto settings. The few I managed to tighten did little to nothing performance wise. But I didn't spend too much time on them...maybe you found something better

Block Limit of 118 on msi z170 Mpower
It's a limit in bios. Xpower had the same in some bioses. Try another bios.

Maxmem in Windows 7 / 8 / 10
Thanks, have been thinking about how to solve it for benchmarks which require lots of memory for a time. But never really needed it. Now I won't have to research it!
