  1. I think I saw this 1 or 2 months ago. It is a good guide but the Asus names limit it. Edit: I tried the latest bios version since I flashed it a few days ago. And...works like a charm.... Setting voltage above 1.150v for VCCIO was not possible. I do still have the bug that after a few changes in the BIOS I have to load defaults again before I can change anything and expect it to still boot. Edit2 (14:07): I do have a question about RTL settings. When I look at the settings I see (example): RTL (CHA A) D0 = 67 RTL (CHA A) D1 = 58 How can I set D0 or D1 seperatly? There is only 1 value I can set in Bios for the both of them.
  2. I set vccio on 1,1v and vccsa at 1,2v. Besides that I only set cpu an memory voltage for 5GHz in this case. I know I can't seem to go higher and since it doesn't limit me with my mems I don't go any higher. Even 4GHz memory speed is possible with these settings. And now I think of it, 4,2GHz 2t cas14 as well. And something isn't ok for sure.
  3. I am just wondering how you stabilize vccio above 1.150v? If I go above 1,150v for vccio my cpu (and tried 1 other) won't boot. Also OCF here.
  4. I was playing around yesterday and booted with mostly auto settings for timings: http://valid.x86.fr/5duzr7 4200MHz seems to boot as well. Edit: I ordered an LN2 kit for memory. Let's see what it can do...
  5. I have 1 kit so far, a 3600 C16 TridentZ kit. They do: 3886MHz xtu @1,85v Cas 12-12-12-28 190 3866MHz pi32m @1,85v Cas 12-12-12-28 250 (so far, done 3 tests for pi) 4000MHz @1,90v Cas 12-12-12-28 300. It boots to Windows. Not pi32m stable. I didn't try any higher volts or lower cas timings for 4000MHz. All on Asrock Z170 OCF. Edit: I forgot the cas timings Edit2: big oops for xtu, not pi
  6. This thread can be closed.
  7. Pm sent Edit: I had the ud5 before, I always liked it.
  8. On hold since my Rampage III just died. I do want another Rampage III, anybody?
  9. I am looking for a good (or great) i7 920. Does anyone still have one? I am not sure yet how much much I want to pay for it, let's just see where this goes.
  10. Thanks for the reply. I use 1.93 at the moment as well. Bullant: how can you set rtl? I know where but I seem to do something wrong.
  11. Thanks, I allready found some thinks to try and improve it.
  12. Which bios is best to use for Samsung B die at the moment? Version 2.00 and 2.02 don't seem to do that good. The first time after I save the bios I can not enter it and have to go to Windows first. And saved settings don't boot... I loaded bios defaults, this didn't help.
  13. For item 5: I see something on the display. Does that come off easy? (the state of the item) If the item is ok and I am able to clean it then I am interested. Edit: sorry I meant number 5.
  14. Asrock Z170 OC Formula bios 2.00: ftp://europe.asrock.com/BIOS/1151/Z170%20OC%20Formula(2.00)ROM.zip or http://asrock.nl/mb/Intel/Z170%20OC%20Formula/index.nl.asp?cat=Download&os=BIOS
  15. The gpu pot is version 6?
  16. I am interested in your gpu container. Edit: How old is it? (Latest model?)
  17. Are the last 2 bios versions for MSI X99A XPower AC the same file? --- A.2B1: download --- A.1B5: download When I download A.2B1 I get the A15 (A1.B5?) bios.
  18. I had one. It had a good NB (5.2GHz was easy) but the memory controller was not that good and the cpu was not more then ok. All on air. I have a new 6700k now. SR2BR L546B627 5GHz windows boot (stock NB setting) at 1.36v (bios) and 1.344v (idle, cpuz). It needed 1.44v for CB11.5 in Windows 8 (Windows 7 needs a little less). It actually gave 1.344v in CPUz in Windows, verification gave a little more. http://valid.x86.fr/13rlbp Edit: not delided at this point (underway)
  19. Thanks for your reply. I just solved it! It is a driver bug. With the older driver installed I can go above 1150MHz. Maybe I should have waited an hour before posting. I hope other people read this when the have the same problem. It cost me a lot of time. Edit: With the older driver and faster speeds it did not get better scores as well. Edit 2: I now use 20.19.15.4300 WHQL
  20. I use the 6700k with a Asrock Z170 OC Formula motherboard. I was tying to get above 1150MHz for iGPU but I never get results above this frequency. Example: If I tell it to run 1250MHz or one of the predefined profiles in bios (tried 1.70 and 1.90) it boots to Windows bu runs at a maximum of 1150MHz (used GPUz, latest version). If I use XTU instead of the bios I get the same results. Does anyone know what this can be?
