  1. Not took that many pics - but there was a group photo at Zotac yesterday, should pop up here when everybody is back home and recovered from the torture...was there for one day and my feet are killing me ^^
  2. just came back from cebit and it was good to see you all again. Had a nice walk around with massman, some good talks with our russian and romanian friends, met my "WR-buddy" from 2010 again finally - hiwa, good karma boy suicidephoenix, had some beers with everyone - got back home and yes: most stressless cebit ever Maybe I can't keep myself and drive there again friday, not sure yet, depends on what my company sais....just don't wanna wear a suit again ^^
  3. Hi, had a lan this week-end, wanted to enter some scores, still was too dizzy, made a mistake while entering, decided to screw it and get some more zzz then enter results correctly. so I deleted the faulty result but it still appears in my history as well as in the database. I am also still able to edit it lol. I know that behaviour from forums where users usually can't physically remove their posts due to the possibility of "I have never written these and that" but they don't see their deleted things anymore at least. also deleted result seem to still influence the new score then when you enter it again. I am not getting points in hw ranking here maybe due to that? maybe have a look at that, iirc there was a "remove result physically" in an earlier revision of the bot. regards SoF

    HWBOT is bias

Since how long we know each other? And you still ask me that?!
  5. 163 bclk - WOOT! Awesome job, first time I see that running at all - you always surprise me
  6. Since when I am the only one who can see the positive aspects of such idea? I like that idea somehow, as even I could buy 7970 right away, I still have fun with 580 GTX. CPU-wise I am mostly "0-day" bencher like with GT or SB but GPU-wise it is much more different. So I'm in trouble here - for GPUs it would give me a 2-week "grace period" for CPUs it would be 2-week waiting... ...oh wait I am in Pro-league now Still not sure how I got there but I am doomed to bench anything at 0-day or fall in rankings... that is what Pro-OC is all about so I am not granted rights to ask for changes still enthusiast and oc-league should not be "crushed" by new hardware on release-day. but I seem to be alone with this opinion
  7. 3820 seem to be crappy chips - my first one did 5074... that degrading issue is hard to investigate - only thing I could remark until now: single stage will still give you 20-30°C+ on the cores according to realtemp during vantage, while the "CPU Socket sensor" shows 5-10°C... Same issue as like 10 years ago....the cores will heat up much more than the "general cpu temp" sensor. With 6 cores it is much more complicated. You think you have -40°C on your stager but in real the CPU get's much warmer...
  8. First impression: remove massman, that would avoid discussions like that Second view more serious: imo the only way would be "old" and "new gen" ranking. e.g. consider G80 / G92 - it was an epic fight on 775 but as soon as 1155 hit the market a zillion results have been destroyed...still I enjoy stuwi in front of me with E8600 in 01... ...so whenever there is a new CPU-gen which might "unbalance" everything, you would need to freeze current ranking and make "V2" then. V1 ranking is about "early and first people to push the limits" V2 ranking is about anybody who think it is cool to do better mostly because of more CPU power... Considering myself: I am only good enough for V2 ranking most of the time ^^
  9. Well I doubt any of these nubs has ever seen a Matrix live, that's what I am there for  ...when you go on a LAN taking a (top-notch) wheel with you just to pretend you have a wheel which is (top notch)...actually you never intend to use it ^^...
  10. ...when you go on a LAN party like that...
  11. ...when you only have socket 2010 anymore because the pins quit their work due to heavy benching...
  12. ...when you can't get massman in a global benchmark after almost 20 hours straight benching... http://hwbot.org/submission/2258753_
  13. usually running medium or ultra high. got my 3820 today but seems to suck (40x126) and additionally my windows freezes all the time when I want to check GPUs... I think I will only check to get it back running, sell a card and wait for ivy
  14. got my 3960X (maybe C1 not sure) and don't have the problem anymore. but I benched with singlestage the first time this night and after ~6 hours the board did some crazy thing. while running 3DM06 at 1.6V it suddenly gave +0.15V for no reason and I ended up running the CPU Test with 1.75V it wanted to raise the voltage even further until I shut it down. Stock voltage after cmos clear was 1.45V... Needed some more reboots until it went back to normal...very strange...could bench another 2 hours afterwards with no issues. Then warming up, benching again, after 2 hours the same issue...it was early morning by then so I decided to leave it alone for a while...
  15. how could I miss that - well done Petri!
  16. 3960X C1 (?) SR0GW Costa Rica (again...) 3133B439 2V118196A085 Air: 51x 1.5V - hangs up in windows 51x 1.55V - hangs up on desktop ~50°C - hot bastard, last one was 5-8°C colder... SingleStage: 54x max boot, 55x freeze, no reboot possible 5450 with 6 cores not ht max for old 3D benches, 6/12 not testet not too bad, good for some tripplecard scores and testing the next preparing single stage...
  17. ...when the company you work for does a little LAN party and you are the only one who is not gaming...
  18. We all love winter, don't we
  19. lol had that some time ago also but I usually inform them in advance to avoid situations like these ...when you go to bed after a long bench night when your gf get's up and goes to work...
  20. this is caused by the fact that you are not able to use the non-patched exe with ~ 4027kb - it will tell you to install the 64bit fix exe (~3972 kb). imo that MUST be solved as it is impossible to match the old scores in many many cases.
  21. I mean booting with 125 strap in general to be specific - doesn't matter if 125 or 128 bclk as far as my tests are going...
  22. ...before SoF comes along to get you with teh matrix
  23. maybe others of you can check that: booting high bclk will often end in "79" specially when it reboots after raising the multi. best way to work around it with fresh bios: load bios profile, save and reset set 125 strap / 125 bclk set final voltage and multiplier to 32 (as this will always boot), reset set 35x multi and reset now set 40x or higher and keep fingers crossed it will not reboot if it reboots 80-90% chance of 79... anyone else?
