  2. had something similar lately? @leegi haha good boy oh dudes today they told me (finally) "the car will not be repaired anymore, too expensive".... so late in the afternoon I grabbed train ticket to my company to get a different (used) company-car tomorrow...that screwed my planned nice non-oc-week-end with my gf....damn
  3. Even after stuwi throwed me 40cm - I am still happy andi didn't tried Full article with many many more pictures is online! You have to take a look through the pictures from the throwing contest Translation maybe this evening or tomorrow. 3. AOCM pictures, data, story... Stummerwinter somehow got it wrong - it was NOT "Chris-throwing" but "Casethrowing"! david vs. goliath
  4. sure that was one week before aocm but so i had to leave some things at home - as u can see on the pics I am fine
  5. Was double epic fail :nana: I missed 400k another time - this time due to wrong GPU...when I would have been able to drive with my own car (what was not possible due to this: I would have had ASUS 5870 with me with 1300+ for sure - for me AM3 is next one to go for...new CPU is already organized

  11. Hi there, thanks to massman, leeghoofd, neo_force and m.beier for joining our 3rd AOCM :celebration: here we would like to share results and pictures with you There was a certain level of "massman-glorification" what really scared me Here are pictures from friday when only crew and some of the internationals arrived: Pifast on GT with 6070 MHZ Thanks to ASUS I could test a 470 GTX - 1st place in 470 GTX hw-ranking '06 33333 with my crappy Q3QP - 05 was also very cool with this card! Couldn't resist testing my MIIIE another time #6 Dual Core CPU wprime1024 global - didn't had the time for 1m, but I think this chip won't go any higher than I tested before so I was ok with that one Thanks for coming to AOCM everybody and see you anytime soon on another event! :celebration: Also your reply about AOCM is welcomed in the english topic @AwardFabrik or here best regards SoF
  12. watched it too (partly) - man F1 got so boring even with schuhmacher back on track...I wanna see burning cars during refill again
  13. sick score - good to see vince can still do it
  14. Hey friends! today I finally could manage my first single card session this year with my Gulftown fully DICE cooled. Hardware-wise it run quite smooth and I am very happy to report: all ok, no injuries, no deaths so far GPU pot is hard to handle with DICE - temps go up to -45°C during longer benches like 06 and vantage, I am refilling all the time. I captured some videos of me benching, hope to find the time to cut and post them within the next days. Pics from preparations: and now the scores - maaaan I am starving for LN2, DICE is just not half as fun Aquamark 3 375k @ 5476 MHZ CPU - had a run at 5.5 GHZ with over 380k but AM3 didn't liked me today and failed with grey stripes a couple of times ^^ 3D Mark 2003 104k - just quickly benched at the very beginning...hate it still http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=6282060 3D Mark 2005 43.6k - that's more like it, I like 05 sooo much, think 44k within the next days http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=5172066 3D Mark 2006 - 31.1k GPU has some room just a "Save-Run"... http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=13474007 3D Mark Vantage Performance - 25.6k - wrong driver, but still not too shabby...hard to handly with DICE GPU as well as CPU...refilling all the time Well that brought me back into TOP30 today and maybe I can gain some more places during the next days (still have 20kg+ DICE here)! regards SoF
  15. @NeoForce Was nice to talk to ya hope to meet anytime soon again :toast: You are on quite a lot fotos Found a picture of our WR system and some more of hiwa and me benching - see the look in our faces, man we were "focusing" hard
  16. I talk to Tony every Cebit since 3 years I think - he always has a bit different sight of view on the things but always quite interesting. Also his watercooling ideas we've been talking about this cebit were very interesting, even it was nothing what will hit the retail market anytime. thanks to him for a good chat again apart from that let me remember some names I enjoyed meeting for the first time on Cebit (unsorted): FOGNA, Monstru, Pt1t, NeoForce, leeghoodf, ryba and of course meeting all the others again: finally saw giorgio and hiwa again, my friends from italy, the crazy guys from denmark (yaaay we kept pushing it -.- ) and in the end I also met massi briefly - too bad we all have been so busy on Cebit, waiting for AOCM now - there will be some more time to talk for sure
  17. Hey guys, sorry if I keep it a bit short without many pictures, I am still a bit done from 5 days of Cebit 2010 Thanks here again for all I've been talking to there - hope to see you soon again without beeing busy benching and "figuring it all out" the entire time Asus Maximus III Formula - very good 1m Efficiency - very predictable - high bclk (260+ 3D with 1.25 PCH and 1.48 IMC) and QPI (4600+) under cold - PostCard recommended - ROG Connect not entirely working with 1305 (should work with new) some voltages and sometimes bclk was not shown correctly - CPU vcore OVP 1.9V which can't be disabled in Bios with 1305 - won't boot when bios vcore (VID) is set higher 1.900 - maybe try flashing MIIIE Bios to MIIIF for getting that option?? try at your own risc of course but due to a special bios recovery feature that shouldn't be a problem at all - wish I had the other bios before and knew about... - ColdBug Mod: Official Asus statement at AwardFabrik - depending to chip, vpll (lower is sometimes better) and QPI -125 to -140°C CBB and -150 to -155°C cb my best 1m on it - wish I had the time to try hard on extreme too (2V was a goal of mine ) Asus Maximus III Extreme - very predictable - very good effeciency in 05 with multi-cards - high bclk and qpi (260+ 3D with 1.25 PCH and 1.48 IMC) and QPI (4600+) under cold - PostCard recommended - ROG Connect entirely working, setting voltages, starting, rebooting via Laptop was really cool - once you use it, you don't wanna miss it - doesn't cost any performance! - OVP 1.9 can be disabled in Bios with latest bios --> no limites here :woot: - ColdBug Mod: fourth from the left at the down left side of the socket where the usual resistors are (8 in a row iirc) - measure for 750 ohms - depending to chip, vpll (lower is sometimes better) and QPI -125 to -140°C CBB and -150 to -155°C cb this board gave us 05 dual gpu wr and screamed for a third one but unfortunatly we just hadn't the time - anyway was great fun to test the hell outa these boards. great pieces of hardware I can only say regards SoF
  18. stumi did one of his favourite games - am3 unfortunatly the qcfx couldn't bring something on the table but gave some promising single scenes - it's just too heavy on stage here are some more pics in my german report on AF
  19. Hey guys! I just came back from Cebit 2010 and maaaaan what a great time again. But this time I was so busy with benching and finding the right system to break a record with that I missed a little bit time to talk enough to all of you guys. Thanks for coming by to the booth all! was sooooo great to finally meet some of you the first time and of course old friends. Yesterday I was pretesting (kinda ^^) with hiwa - 2 systems and chips in 1,5 hour to figure it all out -.- Today we were unlucky in the morning...maybe one of his chips or a Formula is semi-dead...shut Pi randomly somehow In the afternoon we modded the Maximus III Extreme (thanks giorgio to come and help out searching) and tried to push hard. After having 6.4 GHZ running we fighted with the last 2 GPUs left on air - the best ones are under LN2 or contest-systems...so Otterauge did a crazy thing - he pulled out the qcfx cooler and gave us 2 cards pre-freezed at minus 40 and we isolated pci-e a bit pulled them in and started....still shaking when I think of the run, several times I wanted to gave up as it seemed something was freezing or getting unpredictable but I still can hear hiwa say "one more run, one more run" and YEAH MAN WE GOT THAT F***** LAST GOOD RUN can't thank you enough for all you've done for me today, great 05 lesson btw GPUz wouldn't open on the final run for whatever reason, clocks were 1300/1300 - here our score before Screen ORB: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=5161840 The day before, hope I'll find some pics of today later
  20. thanks and see you there
  21. AwardFabrik on CeBIT 2010 Only 2 days left until Cebit in Hannover / Germany will open it's doors again. Since 2007 the AwardFabrik shows overclocking at the ASUS booth and we will continue this tradition of course. With a team of 4 people we will be there the entire time from tuesday to saturday. We hope that we can reach world records live on-stage. For that we are working closely together with ASUS and are already pretesting several systems. The program will contain freestyle-benching from Otterauge, no_name, stummerwinter and myself, as well as an overclocking contest between our visitors. Enermax will also make a lottery with PSU's and others as prices. Sponsors of the AwardFabrik Overclocking-team on Cebit are ASUS (Mainboards and GPUs), MUSHKIN (RAM/ SSDs), ENERMAX (PSUs), Intel (CPUs) and AQUATUNING (Benchtables and watercooling). The CeBIT-Crew 2010 consists of Stummerwinter, Otterauge, No_Name and me - SoF. Also some other crew-members will be around several days. Where? Hall 17 booth H16 When? 02.03. - 06.03.2010 Who? Stummerwinter, Otterauge, SoF and No_Name Thanks for the support goes to ASUS - Holger Schmidt, Eva Bernpainter and Christian Wefers. You are welcomed at the booth anytime - your visit is highly appreciated. Pretesting runs quite well, I could hit 262+ 32m stable, 271 bclk screen and 5100 MHZ QPI with no problems :celebration: Hope this chip can fly under LN2, this Maximus III Formula surely has some balls regards AwardFabrik - SoF
  22. I see no point making a difference between ES and Retail - it was always that way and why it should be different now? sooner or later retail will be better, no 975 or E8600 ES could keep up with the best retails... I am fully on massman's side in this discussion, he pointed it all out already.
  23. I waited for somebody to break it but still u r on top - big thumbs up buddies!!!
  24. I should have bet on that to be your next sentence Good that you remind me of 01 - I still need a Lynnfield to score some points for the extended 01 challenge. Was really good to see this game going on I gave up quickly on Clarkdale but maybe Lynnfield is more fun
