Atomicat Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Just to be totally clear about this... those processor speeds are stock speeds, right? Wouldn't be much of an overclocking contest if we were all stuck on the same frequency! So... what is the frequency, Kevin? Quote
Taloken Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 With these frequency, it's all about RAM accuracy and OS tweaking ^^ Quote

newlife Posted September 5, 2014 Posted September 5, 2014 Here's some 32m tweaks http://www.overclock.net/t/1249432/super-pi-32m-tweaking-guide And as for copy wazza I use ocx spi tweaker And for amd users look here http://hwbot.org/newsflash/2099_the_stilt_releases_bulldozer_conditioner_software_amd_superpi_history_to_be_re_written and here http://forum.hwbot.org/showthread.php?t=86959 Quote
koekwau5 Posted September 7, 2014 Posted September 7, 2014 Got 2x 1GB Samsung 1333Mhz HCH9 memory modules ready for actions =) Quote
newlife Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 What you really need is something like 2600c10 TridentX with HCH9/HYK0 which are dual sided 4gb sticks. Those low bin kits won't don't very well when put up against something like the tridents because I don't think that the low bin stuff can run at 2800 c9-12-12-14 twcl 6 like the 2600c10 Tridents can Quote
koekwau5 Posted September 8, 2014 Posted September 8, 2014 True, but wanted to take these sticks to the competition. Current score (not uploaded to HWBOT yet) is 07:08:300. If sub 7 can be achieved with these sticks thats amazing! Quote
stubass Posted September 9, 2014 Posted September 9, 2014 Question about this competition.. Is it correct to say that processor speed is not limited for the FS stage? Quote
Massman Posted September 9, 2014 Author Posted September 9, 2014 Correct. No frequency limitation but the cooling is still limited. Quote

If you have not done wazza it could very well get you below 7m and I'm working on a fx 4100 + HYK0 based mems + amd 760g chipset Quote

If you have not done wazza it could very well get you below 7m and I'm working on a fx 4100 + HYK0 based mems + amd 760g chipset Followed everything you said and it did shave of a couple of seconds! Thanks for that =) It's really the timings not cooperating. 10-13-13-18-104-1T with 2500Mhz ain't gonna do the sub 7 trick. Think I need 10-12-12-15-104-1T for that. But still cannot believe what these simple el cheapo modules are capable of =) Quote
newlife Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Yeah that's Samsung ICs for you Also what volts are running them? Samsungs love lots volts and doesn't really shine till 1.9v+ Quote
koekwau5 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Been pushing 1.85V. I'm scared I might damage my 5Ghz Pentium G3258 IMC pushing more volts. Or do you need to push way more to make that happen? Awesome to read even 1.9V ain't a problem for these unstoppable DIMMS. The last 0.05V could mean stability for 11-13-12-18-104 and maybe even 11-12-12-18-104. Gonna try it this weekend. I'll let you know =) Quote
saint19 Posted September 10, 2014 Posted September 10, 2014 Holy shi*** 49 people at day 10th days of competition. This is more interesting each day. Quote

buildzoid Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) Just wanted to clarify on this submission is it valid http://hwbot.org/submission/2622512 GPU 7970 but the correct GPU should be 280X Thanks I said all Tahiti. The HD 7970 is a Tahiti so it's a OK. Also nice clock on that card I had a Vapor-x that got to 1210/1650 at best. BTW why did you run the 7850K @ 4.39Ghz with a stock NB frequency when the maximum for AMD SuperPi is 4.57Ghz. Edited September 11, 2014 by buildzoid Mistake about frequency limit Quote
rayhow Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) should have mentioned that problem earlier let the Organizer do the changes to avoid any suspicion report on the submissions Edited September 11, 2014 by rayhow Quote
buildzoid Posted September 11, 2014 Posted September 11, 2014 (edited) should have mentioned that problem earlier let the Organizer do the changes to avoid any suspicion report on the submissions I'm the organizer and the Firestrike stage clearly states that: "Only use videocards based on the Tahiti, Tahiti Pro, Tahiti Pro', Tahiti XT, Tahiti Pro'', Tahiti XT', GK104, GK104', GK104'', GK104''' core." The HD 7970 uses a Tahiti XT core so it's fine. Edited September 11, 2014 by buildzoid Quote

Atomicat Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Ok, I'm right bloody sick of this. Trying to enter videocard and it refuses every combination of "Radeon" "HD" "7950" etc etc I can think of, and auto-complete doesn't give enough choices. So what exactly does it want there? Quote
Atomicat Posted September 12, 2014 Posted September 12, 2014 Never mind. Wanted a series on top of manufacturer. Now how would I know that? Cannibalized the stock cooler long ago. Quote
