Massman Posted October 22, 2010 Posted October 22, 2010 In the .rar you can find a .dll file. Just copy that one into the folder of 3DMark99 Quote

PizzaMan Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Can't get 99max to work on XP. DX6.1 is for Windows 98. Got me a copy of 98, but just noticed nVidia doesn't have any 98 drivers... Quote

PizzaMan Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 (edited) Yea, didn't work. EDIT: Tried x86 and x64 XP. Copied the _Setup.dll to 99max folder. Not working Edited October 23, 2010 by PizzaMan Quote
DEVILEK Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 I have also this situation, 3D Mark is not working I change place this .dll file Quote
Massman Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 _Setup.dll? In the .rar download file, you find a folder to install (3Dmark99max) and a .dll (ddraw.dll). First install, then copy ddraw.dll into installation folder. HWBOT link: http://91.121.148.119/downloads/legacy_benchmarks/3DMark99max_fix.rar Quote
DEVILEK Posted October 23, 2010 Posted October 23, 2010 Like You say ; in rar We have 3d99 install folder and ddraw.dll. I install mark, then copy/paste .dll and mark is not work. Quote
Calathea Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 Works fine here, tested on my laptop (thinkpad x40). Quote
johnamd Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 hello massman.A verification screenshot 3d99 ,3d00 way more? Quote
ScunnyUK Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 just tried 3D99 in Win7 compatability mode , it gives an error somthing simular too "3D Mark requires a DX6 compatable 3D accellorater" . Using 9800gt and applied the DDraw.dll fix. 3D2000 worked right away but didnt run test 15, still gave a score though! Quote
NoMS Posted October 24, 2010 Posted October 24, 2010 I Just run the GT's and CPU test to got a result in both benchmarks (99 and 00). The 3dmark00 result on FX5200 was horrible, guys with PIII and GF2 manage to get a similar score, look this: http://discussions.hardwarecentral.com/showpost.php?p=618583&postcount=97 My result: Maybe the problem is OS will try with Win 2000 later... Crew Turrican Posted October 25, 2010 Crew Posted October 25, 2010 do i need to have the same setup for all 3 stages, or are there individual setups possible ? ( different vga/cpu etc. per stage) Quote
PizzaMan Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 So I finally got 3Dmark99 to work in XP, but it's not working right. 3Dmark2000 is acting wierd in XP to. Scoring great in W7, but in XP the entire test runs in about 30 secs and gives me this score. I guess this is what happens when you drop support for your old products. Don't think I'm going to play this one. Just to much trouble trying to get the benches to run properly. Quote
Massman Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 For 3DMark99, make sure you have Vsync disabled in the drivers. No idea why it's working so problematic on your system ... with the 655K / GTX480 setup here, it was just install 'n' play. Quote
