Broken APEX49 Posted February 28, 2021 Posted February 28, 2021 How is my result? Because there is no data which becomes reference. I'm learning by trial and error. Please advise by all means. 1 Quote
I.nfraR.ed Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 (edited) Got a decent score, but there's room for improvement, since I had better runs. Spent a whole evening trying to get 4066 running reliably, but it seems my CPU can't handle it for some reason. The better 2x16 kit just doesn't want to run GDM off, so opted for an old 2x8 A0 kit. PS: Top 3 scores are all in our team :p I guess the internal mini-competition helps. Edited March 5, 2021 by I.nfraR.ed 3 Quote
SparkysAdventure Posted March 15, 2021 Posted March 15, 2021 @flanker no maxmem at all, 32bit OS does not need. still maybe worth trying, maxmem size is relevant for XP on Intel Quote

Broken APEX49 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Hello everyone I would like to challenge the 5G challenge with 5600X and C8I. First of all it is difficult to set the CPU to 5G At present, it will drop even at a voltage of 1.5v at 4.9G. AMD has little experience so I would like to ask professionals for advice. Is PBO setting important? Where do I need to set it in the BIOS? Quote
flanker Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 no, PBO for benchamrking no needed. PBO is for daily type of cooling and 24/7 (optimized with curve optimizer) But for 32M U will need disable the cores and hyperthreading and push CPU to 5 GHz (propably best way boot on lower clocks and set higher value in OS) And of course, a lot playing with DRAM timings and IMC (SOC voltage etc) Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 Okay SMT is OFF only for 3 cores Set to 4.8G on BIOS Voltage starts automatically In TurboV Core, the voltage at this time is 1.4V Memory applies only XMP and does nothing Is it simply a low voltage to raise it to 5G? Is there any control working? Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 I would appreciate it if you could tell me the basic settings on the BIOS. Quote
flanker Posted April 29, 2021 Posted April 29, 2021 RAM tweaking is about learning...First, boot at example 4.6-4.7 GHz with manual voltage (1.35-1.375V) and LLC3. In WIndows u can increase the CPU voltage on 1.4V and try go to 4.9 GHz, if failed, or frozed, restart and in Widnows use higher COU voltage...For 5GHz maybe u will need up to 1.5V, but all depends also on temps, silicon lotery etc. After u will know, your CPU is able run Superpi with JEDEC RAM settings, u can continue in RAM and SOC tweaking (FCLK 1:1 with RAM and fun with RAM timing and driving) It is not job for few minutes, but for few hours and maybe for few days. Broken APEX49 Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 Thank you for the information I will do my best Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted April 30, 2021 Posted April 30, 2021 I ran SuperPI 32M for the time being The CPU runs up to 4.9G, but after that, even if the voltage is 1.5V or more Will fall I'm at a loss what's wrong Simply my CPU no limit? Set LLC to 3 and disable SMT on the BIOS C state disabled 3 core selection only I would appreciate any advice Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Why do you guys run 5G at low voltage? I can't put in 1.6V Quote
flanker Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 (edited) well done (propably u have not best sample...) Good samples are able run CinebenchR15/R20 at 4850-4900 MHz on AIO cooling Edited May 1, 2021 by flanker Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 The limit of the CPU I own ... Personally, I want to study ZEN3 a little more There is a mysterious part in the BIOS settings I want to know the basic settings for Zen SuperPI 32M Isn't the adjustment of Curve Optimizer related? Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 Currently limited to 4 cores Furthermore, when running SuperPI, do I need to select a core that is as good as inte? Please give me some advice for improvement Quote

Broken APEX49 Posted May 1, 2021 Posted May 1, 2021 If you can turn it with 5G, it will not be as good as a professional I think I can go to a good position ... I can't come up with an idea Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Sparky's __ Adventure I don't know how to install Windows 10 Quote
RonLazer Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 @GTI-R I think basically any Zen3 CPU should be able to get through SuperPi 32M with 1.45V Vcore - just make sure your LLC is set to the middle setting. Leave memory settings at plain XMP until you get the CPU overclock dialled in right. 1 Quote
Broken APEX49 Posted May 4, 2021 Posted May 4, 2021 Currently LLC is set to 3 Is it possible to rotate 5G at 1.45v? Quote
