Hey all, some items for sale:

2) Gigabyte x99 SOC Champion
Mobo comes full box bundle. It is insulated with LET. The ILM has been modified so that standard M4 2011 mounting works, and also 6-32 rods can pass through for mounting a cpu pot.
**pcie_1(1st slot) is stuck in 8x mode, pcie_2(3rd slot) works 16x** I mainly used this board for 2d. No idea when or how this issue happened. I never attempted any troubleshooting or fixes as I have x299 to bench 3d.

5960X doesn't go for that price anymore, especially unbinned

Price is OBO. I sold one on ebay two weeks ago for $457. If no one here is interested after a while, I'll put these ones on ebay aswell.

Just for the record, a 5960X which does CB15 4,7GHz at 1,2-1,23v is top tier, since when is a cpu of that quality unbinned? You can always discuss about scaling but if you don´t like the price, grab ten from ebay and hope to find a cpu doing anywhere near this, 1,19v 4,7ghz went way above shop price  in its days. If you don´t like prices, send PM next time and hope seller can follow your reasoning ;)

My first 5960X did 4700 with 1.45v with the same SOC Champion, 1.25v or below for same freq is cleary better silicon, top tier without doubt. 1.2v or less is very hard to find. Pricing is OK, considering 5960X has some maxed benchmarks.

Does Haswell-E always scale as expected from ambient to LN2? I was talking about the chip that hasn't seen cold, obviously the other one is top tier.

Haswell-e scales, variances are normal though like on all platforms. Normal way to bin these is search best low volts from 4,5ghz upwards, the higher you test (4,7ghz is already above average binning frequency) the better
